What do you use as your default Joe/Cobra HQ?

I was thinking about this question this morning, as I own the Cobra Mountain set and the ROCC. But neither one seems to really scream "HQ" like the classic ones do.

Have any of you ever improved upon the original designs of the Joe HQ or Terrordrome, like made it bigger, or somehow took the initial design, and just made some type of home brew thing?

For the Joes - I use the original Joe HQ and/or a scratch-built Pit I made out of poster board and various bits and pieces.

For the Cobras - it's the Terror Tower. I have a stack of two junked Terrordromes with a nice complete one on top.

For the Dreadnoks - I have a set up of various shacks, outpost stands, etc circled with a barbed wire fence.

For the Iron Grenadiers - I use the castle from the Chronicles of Narnia toys.

Basically, I want to have a number of different locations available for what I want to set up or when my kids get old enough what they want to play with. I scored great deals on the large pirate ship from Pirates of the Caribbean, the Castle of Chronicles and whatnot. They great because not only is the Castle good for Destro, but also for Kings, Queens and Knights. The Joes are lost in time and need some help? BAM - Cap'n Jack Sparrow at your service! And so on.

See, I LIKE this idea of stacking pre-existing sets, and this one here (of the Joe HQ) looks very sweet...

Getting a little creative like this, is always a nice added touch and plus. I'd like to see your stacked Terror Tower. :)

UPDATE:

Just came across this image...

I almost picked that up (it was like 18 bucks at Ross). But it wasn't the cost so much as I just couldn't seem to find a place for it at home. Given its size. Now a vintage Joe HQ, might just work, given the short shelf space I have. =D

Here's a picture - not a great one - but shows the idea. I plan on adding plastic pieces to cover the holes you see.

Let me know if this doesn't show up - it's the first time I've tried uploading a pic directly to the forums.

Both of these are works in progress, so keep that in mind.

Good use of Joe pieces on The Pit there. I don't have pictures, but I have this steel black audio/video cart that I display my Joes on. I've been thinking of possibly turning it into a Pit. Might need to start buying some used HQ pieces on Ebay. =D
