I was thining.Ok,I can understand Hasbro not making a Reissue of the Gen1 Megatron because of gun laws.I think a great way to get around this would be to come out with a reissue of Galavatron. He doesn't look like a real gun.I mean, come on the Decepticans need a leader.

I think he came out in the purple coloes, and e-hobby did a regular color release did they not?

Anyways, that toy sucked, I had a loose one in a box of random bots I bought off ebay, years ago, I thought the was dumb. But that's the problem with electronics back then, they take up so much space, you can't really do much with the toy.

they could reissue g2 megatron(big green one not heros) and they could reissue g1 galvatron any time they want to hasbro just wants to see how the insecticons and perceptor sell then maybe(hopefully)they can reissue other figures or make another commerative series.I mentioned g2 megatron because they may not be able to reissue a g1 megatron figure because of north american gun laws but they could reissue a megatron that turns into a tank no problem and g2 megatron is the same character so he would be a logical choice

And where exactly are you getting this information or is it purely speculative?

yeah, the toy really is kinda lame. i just recently sold my g1, i've had the takara reissue for a while and i like the colors better. plus he talks angry phrases in japanese and comes with a gold matrix necklase. cant beat that for a reissue

Problem is, Galvatron has an official gun mode too and Hasbro has said they won't be doing any more Transforming guns including not using Classics Megatron again. So, they'll probably steer clear of that reissue.

Technically his alt mode is a cannon, not a gun. So I don't know what the problem would be. Hasbro probably never will release him, but any excuse they give is just that, an excuse and a poor one at that.

In all honesty, there probably wouldn't be a huge amount of interest in that figure in the U.S. market (at least not at the price they charge) and that's probably the only reason.

Nope. Galvatron's a Triple-changer. He is a robot/cannon/gun.

(I'm not saying it's a particularly good gun, but it's there.

Bizarre, considering that Classics Megatron was fine for them just a few years ago. When did Hasbro say this?

Don't worry, man. He's just kidding around. Although I wouldn't want to be compared to Michael Bay either...

Anyway, about G1 Galvatron... I've never owned one, but I think the anime accurate Takara reissue w/ Matrix is pretty cool looking. I kind of regret not picking one up back when BBTS was clearancing their stock out a few years back. That version even had a remolded, more accurate face sculpt, didn't it?

If it's true that Hasbro is refusing to release transforming guns for some reason, I think they could easily get around that with a Galvatron reissue by simply not publicizing his gun mode or providing any instructions for that particular mode. Robot to cannon. That's it.
