What Do You Like About the DCUC line?

In the past few hours I have read several forum topics. I visited the MattyCollector Facebook page and it seems as though I am reading nothing but negative posts.

I know we all have our gripes stemming from quality control and distribution, but I would love to hear what people like about this line of figures. If all we have is negative remarks, should Mattel even keep it going?

Tell me what you like. List your top five favorite figures thus far.

My top 5 figures thus far:

1. Aquaman - I had this figure in the SuperPowers line and this just takes me back to my childhood. The detail is also quite amazing.

2. Ares - I know that he has been a peg-warmer for most but this figure is remarkably detailed and just looks amazingly fierce. He is amazingly bad-ass!

3. Etrigan - When I saw this figure in the first wave, I knew this would be a totally different DC Comics wave. The ripped cape and red eyes really sell me. I wish I would have bought more than one of these figures.

4. Hawkman - This is a character that I have always loved. The wings are well done and the weapons are fantastic. They really chose the correct accessories for this character.

5. Red Parademon - Another figure that takes me back to my childhood, the red parademon just looks great on the shelf and he looks kind of mean. Had I been able to find more than one of these, I would have created an army of them. Here's hoping that he ends up in the best-of wave.

Seriously, I love this line. Granted I have to do some major hunting to find it , but it is worth it. If I am not mistaken the DCUC line has been around for 2 years and has had a total of 10 waves of figures in those 2 years. Here's hoping for another 2 years and another 10 waves.

Maybe if I get lucky, I will get a SeaHorse for Aquaman and a Batmobile that can fit both Batman and Robin.

My top 5 figure in DCUC:

1. Aquaman (short hair) - This figure made me decide to stick with this line, the detail in the sculpt is just phenomenal.

2. Deathstroke - This is DCUC's answer to Marvel Legends' Deadpool, great all-around and accessories galore Would be my number 1 if they just included the unmasked head as an accessory instead of a variant figure

3. Solomon Grundy - really like this C&C figure.

4. Booster Gold (classic) - Paint app is so great and the goggles are just awesome (I wish they did the same with Black Lightning and Eradicator as initially shown)

5. Green Arrow - that added wrist articulation really made this figure so much poseable and the sculpt is really great too.

What I like the most is the variety of characters they keep making! And of course the C&Cs! Atom Smasher still rocks my world everytime I look at him!

Talon

LOD

No doubt the C&Cs are amazing! Giganta is so well done and so is Solomon Grundy and I can't forget your favorite, Atom Smasher.

What is funny to me is that both my roommate and my girlfriend love the Chemo C&C. If I arrange my shelf and Chemo is in the background, she will tell me that he should be up front. My roommate doesn't collect the things and he even thought Chemo was cool.

I've got about 38 of these figures so far.

It's hard to pick a favorite since they're all boxed up as I'm collecting them and packing them for a move. Once I'm relocated I want to get an Ikea display case and put them all on display.

Just going on what I own:

1. Black Adam - It's Black Adam, how can I not love this figure.

2. Wildcat

3. Hawkman

4. Deathstroke

5. Bizarro - okay he's a hold over from the line that preceded this; but I love Bizarro as well. :D

What I love is the selection of characters and amount of articulation for awesome pose-ability. I also love how the articulation is well masked. Too often toy lines sacrifice appearance for articulation, this line strikes a fine balance between looks and articulation.

I'm looking forward to Kilowog and Darkseid CAC figures. I love Darkseid. :D

I'd love to see Ambush Bug and Swamp Thing figures. Perhaps a CAC Dr. Arkane!

How creepy would that be on your toy shelf? :D

1) The Parademons - both of these are just really really cool.

2) The Mantis figures - see above

3) Deadshot - The figure is just so well done.

4) Solomon Grundy - the best of the CnC figures.

5) Firestorm - he just looks so cool

I have every single figure, and can't wait for the onslaught of Lanterns.

everything but the flaws in the figures & the lack of finding them & the cost of them :P

@loll@

yeah actually I'm kidding but that pretty much sums it up! I hate having to wonder if I open a figure will it fall apart the second I touch it @loll@

I think someone mentioned it earlier, but there really isn't anything about this line I don't like in relation to the actual figures themselves. I've only had one QC issue, and was with a BAF piece which got taken care of.

Things I love about the line:

The colors: These figures just pop out and cheer me up! They manage to be extremely colorful and fun too look at without being neon. Just a great looking line overall.

The congruent scale and style: I love the scale on these in regards to how they look together. Some lines tned to bounce around in scale and style between waves, but DCUC just looks fantastic together.

The selection: Even being a big DC fan, figures still pop from time to time which I don't recognize. I love that! How fun to get a new figure and then learn more about the character!

My top 5? Man, that's hard... Gonna have to think about that.

My top five:

1.Aqua-Man (short hair) - Perfect sculpt, perfect paint apps, great accessory. Just an incredible figure. Probably the best of the line so far.

2.Firestorm- I'll admit his paint apps aren't the best but he does have a great sculpt. He's also one of the first Super Powers figures I got when I was a kid so having him again is pretty nostalgic.

3.Artemis- Both her and WW are great, but for me the little details on Artemis make her stand out a bit more.

4.Solomon Grundy- I don't think I could ask for a better version of this guy. Definately the best C&C, and one of the best figures of the line.

5.Green Arrow- Another all-around great figure.
