Are More WalMarts Joining the Fun?

Now that Wave 9 is hitting Walmarts, the exclusive five pack is out, and the WM exclusive Wave 10 is on the horizon, are more Walmarts picking up DCUC? Is WM making this line more available?

Once upon a time, all I could find at a Walmarts were the scraps of DCSH. Then there was nothing. When Wave 5 hit, I found ONE Walmart that carried them and it wasn't in my area. Mattel has insisted that the new exclusives, particularly the upcoming Wave 10, were going to be more available as more and more WM's picked up the line.

I have two Walmarts in my area. Both carried tons of that Batman movie stuff and nothing else relating to DC. Now they're finally getting rid of that Batman stuff, most of which appeared to have rotted there, but it doesn't look as if they're adding DCUC.

What is everyone else finding?

None of my local WM's carry them, one did for a few weeks before a remodel a few months ago, but then took the shelf space away for them and clearanced them out. I had to drive about a hour to get wave 5. I was in a pretty big town yesterday and 3 of the 4 WM's i visted actually had them. SO we shall see. Of course it was all old stuff.

I haven't seen a change yet either. The ones who carried them before are still carrying them. The ones who didn't still aren't.

I live in the same area, and this is not true.

Branford has them. I have no history on its trend.

Bristol, I believe you when you say.

Cromwell used to but now doesn't.

Derby never had them.

East Windsor: no data

Guilford used to, but now doesn't.

Hamden used to but now doesn't. (EDIT: brought to my attention, they finally got some "best of")

Lisbon used to, but now doesn't.

Naugatuck: no data

New Haven: no data

New Milford had some.

Norwich has leftovers.

Old Saybrook used to, but now doesn't.

Putnam: no data

Rocky Hill never did.

Shelton: no data

Southington didn't but now does.

Stratford: no data

Torrington: no data

Wallingford used to but now doesn't.

Waterbury: no data

Waterford used to but has been bare.

West Hartford did, but I have not been there in a while to comment.

West Haven: no data

Willimantic does not have them.

Went to the South Philly Walmart today, they had a nice collection of Wave 6 up on the pegs...wow wee to my utter annoyance. Also I am still amazed that the largest Walmart in the Philly area doesn't carry DCUC and never has, the last shipment they got in was the DCSH with black Darkseid, Mongul and the rest, they went fast like they always did but why not continue????

5 Wal-Marts with in a 20 miles radius of me. The closest one doesn't have anything. They just rearranged the whole store and they moved the toy isle to the other side fo the store. Since the move, they had 1 Captain Cold, and no nothing. I don't see any tags or anything, so I have no idea what is going on there.

The second closest Wal-Mart had DCUC...a few All-Stars and wave 6 and wave 7. I see Firestorm, Captian Cold, Dr. Impossiable, Mr. Miracle, Captian Marvel, and Killer Moth.

The third Wal-Mart has nothing, never has.

The forth Wal-Mart was where the first DCUC 5-Pack was bought but now the only thing that they have is 2 Mr. Miracle's. They also had 1 red Parademon.

The fifth Wal-Mart has some wave 6 and wave 7.

I really hope wave 10 is going to be easier to come by!

Just a few corrections/updates. Cromwell still carries them. Southington has had them since the beginning (wave 5). Waterbury and Hartford have since the beginning. Also, Manchester and Wethersfield/Newington both carry the line, and have since the onset, if you want to add them to your list of places to check. :)

After reviewing these replies, I have to point out that Mattel has repeatedly asserted that Wave 10 will be much easier to find than Wave 5. The principal reason for this is that they expected many more Walmarts to pick up the DCUC line. I'm wondering if this will turn out to be true. From the responses here, it sounds like many more WM's have dropped the line than added it.

No additional Wal-Marts within about 1½ hrs from me have DCUC. There is one in my immediate area that carries the line, and it is stuck with almost an entire case of wave 7.

Well, now I have to kinda stop complaining. The worst Wal-Mart in my area now has a full case of wave 7. While this means I may have to wait even longer to find Wave 8 Green Parademon or Wave 9, it bodes well for the chance to get the 5-pack.

How often do these resets happen?

Giving Walmart and Mattel the benefit of all possible doubt here, perhaps WM won't start carrying DCUC in a significant number of their stores until Wave 10. After all, Wave 10 is the wave specifically done for WM. Given that Wave 9 is just starting to appear and Wave 8 is only starting to become truly widespread, it might be way too early for Wave 10. Will another reset happen in the Fall? Or perhaps around the Holidays? If so, we might be see more WM's pick up DCUC then.

Am I being too generous with Walmart ...or foolishly optimistic??
