Bought it last week. Just started the 4th disc. I've enjoyed it! Brought back a lot of memories.

Yes, I received mine today in the mail, nice packaging as well as the set has a spot to put the gi joe movie in (in the back of set # 2). Cool introduction by Seth Green as well. Off to check out the set......

They have no plans at the moment, but then they always say that before they're ready to announce a new release.

I got my box today, and it's *huge*, even compared to the Matrix set. almost unnecessarily so for the size of the discs inside. But who cares, this thing is fricken frackin awesome!!!

I haven't seen most of these episodes since USA's Cartoon Express in the early 90s. Same with Transformers and the SciFi Channel's "Cartoon Quest"... a lot of fond memories with both these sets. There won't be another day this satisfying until Shout! releases every episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000, and I get to run thru those, in order, in high quality with massive bonus features.

So basically, this is the best day in my geeky, geeky life for the forseeable future.

You know.....I've been fighting the urge to buy this thing for a while now. I have the other 4 Rhino sets from like 2003-04.....I'm still a lot upset that they never finished the series........I just can't see spending that right now(essentially re-buying the cartoons all over again, minus 22 the last 22 eps or something like that).....with the Cobra Island sets and all the movie stuff that just came out.....its kind of frustrating. I was just going to wait to get the last set they release in stores to complete my series. (which will look ugly as hell on my DvD shelf, thanks again Rhino) @hmmm@

Anyone got some hand's on pics of the case though???? To make me want to throw 150 bucks at Shout......I've been to the website and have seen the animated shots but I want some real pics.

It is not on Amazon right now, because Shout! is selling it exclusively on its website first. They are going to sell it outside of their site after SDCC, I believe.

What is everything that comes in the box set?

I thought about getting it but it seemed like everything you get in 1.1 is what you get in the box set but you are only paying $145 bucks for the rest of the DVD's and the box?

Just the Sunbow series, no DIC.

Also, I think Shout! is saying now that they won't release the complete series set to retail until the smaller sets have been released. So many bot until next year, at this rate.

For the meantime, if you want it, you gotta go thru their website. Or SDCC.

It's the same discs as Season 1.1, but the packaging is completely different. When Season 1.2 is released, the discs will likely be numbered 1-5 again, instead (for instance) 6-10, as in the boxed set. So there will be differences. Also, you get them all *now* instead of piecemeal.

I have not received notification that mine has shipped yet (for some reason I thought that if you ordered it before July 15, which I did, they would ship it to arrive by July 22 - oh wait! it's because it said that on the website). The collector's set's disks have different pictures from the regular releases. The regular releases (so far) are pictures of the cartoon Joes. The collector set has pictures from the RAH cardbacks, which is way more awesome, in my opinion, and was a deciding factor in me buying the entire set.

Same here. I can't rebuy all those episodes I already own. I'll wait til they release season 2 pt 2 all by itself. (BTW: Those who ARE waiting for it, don't hold your breath. According to tvshowsondvd.com we have season 1 pt 1 coming out later this year and nothing else. I'm guessing late 2010 at the earliest :(

BUT, I do have every season of Transformers from Rhino so at least I don't need to worry about that.

Well, I can take back a couple of the bad things I was saying about Shout Factory. I did get an email this morning telling me that my order had shipped on Monday, but no tracking number. I got home and the USPS had delivered it to the house. So, they were good on their word for that. I cut the wrapper and opened the lid, then lifted the 'control panel' aka piece of plastic with the Joe logo and all that jazz, and the 'pouch' that holds the disks had come unglued from the 'control panel'. So, that sucks, but I don't know that I will go to the trouble of actually returning it (at least until I watch a few episodes). Otherwise, it's pretty sweet.

Yeah, I'm with you on that...I have all the Rhino sets also. I'm not sure if I want to buy all the other episodes again either.
