Ghostbusters Minimates FOUND!

I found the Ghostbusters Minimates this morning at Toys R Us and I must say that they are TITS (my expression, stolen from Eric Cartman, as a substitute for words like awesome)!

 

I bought:

 

Slimed Peter Vekman and Clear Slimer

Gooey Ray Stantz and Exploding Stay Puft

Dr. Egon Spengler and Library Ghost

Ghostbusters 2 Winston Zeddmore and Terror Dog

 

(the only one I didn't get was Peter and Washington Square Ghost)

 

I have to say I'm impressed by how much Minimates have improved over the years. I didn't know that they started putting pegs in the hair and holes in the top of the head to keep the hair on.

 

The ghosts all look phenominal. Slimer doesn't have food in his stomach like the promo pics, which makes him better IMO. The Terror Dog probably looks the best. The Library Ghost is great and comes with a book. Stay Puft is mostly a translucent red but does have a bit of white around his backside area.

 

The Busters all come with proton packs complete with STREAMS (but don't cross them). I looked at the sliming on Peter and the marshmallow on Ray to see if there was any difference in the paint apps, but they all looked identical.

 

Also, on a side note, only the Ray/Stay Puft and the Peter/Washington Square Ghost had TRU Exclusive stickers on them.

 

They are $6.99 a pack and are located in the area with the video game toys and Battlestar Galactica Minimates in my TRU. Hope this info helps anyone wanting to buy them.

Nice! Will you be able to share some pics? I'm interested in the minimates Ghost Busters than the 6" but not sure how well the mates end up looking.

Here you go. I turned Winston around to show the detail on the pack. The Terror Dog doesn't even look like a MiniMate. Hope this helps.

My local TRU had 2 sets of these last week...I hesitated. All gone today. Hopefully some more show up, I'd at least like the pack with the Terror Dog.

No, he comes with the stand in the picture.

 

Jones: Ray/Stay Puft and Peter/Washington Square Ghost are exclusives to Toys R Us. At least those are the only ones that have stickers on them. (I didn't get Peter/WSG).

I think I'm the last person on this train... I just got the Egon/Library Ghost set from the recent "greatest hits" assortment.

Does anyone have a spare Courtroom Peter/Washington Square Ghost set?
