SDCC Invaders set

I didn't know Marvel was around for 70 years...

Namor, and I think the original Human Torch (not Johnny Storm, it was an android), first appeared in 1939.

Cap came out in 1941 I think.

I was just looking at the Red Skull pictures and I'm thinking it should be easy to add a layer to the bottom of his boot, maybe wood, and paint it black. That should make up the height difference to make him look better standing next to Cap.

some sdcc stuff looks nice but with the little guys at retail for 8 bucks or more a pop, i can't afford it!

Because of the heigth difference, and that i've seen a custimzer or two do it (very well) i don't understand why they didn't use the joe crimson gaurd body.

That was a nice custom. It's not a Nazi uniform though, which maybe why Hasbro chose that over a more scale compatible figure from Joe. They obviously have no problem borrowing molds from the Joe department based on what was released in the Hulk movie line.

There are two torches, the first one is an android name, jim hammond who is turned into the vision by ultron at some point... Hence why vision has a red face as a mocking reminder of his past life (who says robots can't have a sense of humor? :P ) & the other torch is a human called toro :P & yes that is a sad sad reuse of the ff torch figure :S

so how much are they charging for this one? 50 bucks?

Yeah good point this set is not going to be cheap, odds are it will be $10 a figure at least :S With news of the regular marvel legends line returning I think I"ll just save my cash for that!
