if i lived on my own i would by all the dcuc's i've always wanted, but since i'm still in high school and live at home i'd have to give at least 4k to my parents, they do so much for me that they deserve it

thats a very col thing to do chopper, but the concept here is that Rowdy has been given a "toy allowance" so to speak. The main settelment is mos def a far larger sum then 5k. And its safe to assume that Rowdy and the Mrs. have already socked a good chunk away for the lil tike's future and all that good stuff..........SO WHY NOT LIVE A LITTLE!

Try to dream up all manner of good stuff that you've always wanted and let rowdy know so it can get his inspiration jusices flowing.

So me and my wife were in an accident that messed my back up and sent her into preterm labor. We reached a settlement yesterday for a nice chunk of change. I told my wife I wanted to pick up some figures I always wanted, she said why don't you just take 5,000 and spend it on whatever figures you want. I am like a kid a Christman and I have no idea what to spend it on. Should I pre-order everything I want coming out,do I get the MOC Super Powers collection I always wanted . I seriously am at a loss. I have always wished I had a large sum too drop on some toys and now that the time is here it's like I forgot everything I ever wanted to buy. I have come to respect alot of the opinions here and was looking to you guys to impart a little wisdom.

First off I'm sorry you got into an accident. Secondly, I'm glad you got compensated for your troubles. Thirdly, you're wife is awesome.

I'm going to assume you're a DC fan (and if somebody else posted this suggestion then sorry) so if you like good expensive stuff you really can't go wrong with Hot Toys. I have the 2-in-1 Superman and the entire Dark Knight series including the Bat-Pod with the Tumbler hopefully coming soon. That's good stuff.

Anyway, why don't you save some of it? Mattel doesn't seem to be slowing down (too much) so why don't you just hang on to it. DCUC figures aren't getting cheaper.

We got quite a bit, enough to buy a new house,2 new cars, put some away for the kids and some extra. this is just for me to blow.

If you lived on your own you would need that money to pay rent and bills..LOL. You got it so good now you don't even know. Enjoy it while you can buddy.

wow, your wife is getting new boobs ....

and I was going to comment on toys, but those may become your NEW toys ...

anyway, since you have so much $$ to blow ...

you could

a) help out some fellow collectors with figures (it seems that me and a few others want to finish off Metallo , my friend. Can u help us out?)

B) Pre-order Wave 9 & 10, and buy a bunch of ParaDemons and sell some below cost, to make scalpers mad.

c) order the DC Direct History of DC figures. They look awesome!

d) Buy some building sets to create for your figure displays

e) Stimulate our economy and send 1 free figure to everyone that posted on this thread. @loll@

Be blessed!!!

It's not a bad idea to just fund future DCUC.

I don't know of many past figures or collections I would really want to drop a chunk of change on like this. The Super Powers idea is nice if that's something you've always wanted, but with DCUC around and surpassing what Super powers had done, I really don't see a need for it. Yeah. There's nostalgia, but DCUC has really blasted the taste for Super Powers right out of me.

Here are a couple of things that I would indulge in...

1) A MIB USS Flagg. Yeah. It's from the GI Joe RAH line, but this is one of the greatest toys ever made. It's easily the crown gem of one of the greatest toy lines of all time.

2) A ton of DC Archives, Marvel Masterworks and Omnibuses from both DC and Marvel.

3) A ton of dvd's. There are a lot of DC cartoons I'd love to catch up on. A lot of the old Filmation cartoons like Superman, Batman, and Aquaman have come out. Plus there's always all the Bruce Timm Batman, Superman, and JLU stuff. I'd even throw on Johnny Quest, Space Ghost and other Hanna-Barbera adventures series.

4) A durable high-quality Superman suit with a cape to wear around. I'm not talking a cheap costume or something with the belt painted on that ties in the back. I'm talking about an honest-to-God Superman suit with a cape, a real belt with functioning buckle and real boots.

5) You can troop build the greatest army of parademons EVER!

6) I'd take a couple of hundred bucks and troop build a small army of ML Sentinels. The Big Dawg's been collecting the 3 3/4 Marvel Universe line and they go better with these Sentinels than the 6" line ever did.

7) I don't know if you're into Mego's ...I know what I said before about Super Powers, but Megos retain their retro charm... but you might consider picking up the rare Teen Titan Megos, the Secret Identity Megos, or a MIB Wayne Foundation playset.

As i see it when i have large sums of money to spend and I dont have any idea what i really want i dont buy anything until something comes up i really want. otherwise i would be buying out of impulse. you did say something about superpowes and if you really wanted them all this time maybe its time to get them.
