Hi All

I picked myself up another Indy figure the other week for the sole purpose of creating a Temple of Doom Indy. When I started weathering and painting everything I decided to keep the figure articulated instead of the normal statue type figures that I do so I could put him in different positions.

All except the right arm which can't be articulated as the rubber on the arm if moved will cause the paint to start flaking and cracking, I used Vallejo, Games Workshop and Pastel to paint and weather him and the base.

RECIPE

1: Indiana Jones - Everything is from The Sideshow Toys Indy figure except the right arm which is from another figure which I can't remember right now and the sword which is from the Relic Hunter. I removed the right sleeve and the small bead like buttons and replaced them using buttons from a Dragon WW2 American shirt.

I added a buckle clip using a pin and the bandage on the right hand is a piece of old cloth, I also cut the back of his shirt and his left pants leg using a pair of sharp scissors.

2: Base - The base is two pieces of foam core glued togther and then cardboard attached to give it strength. I used a stand that you get with a lot of the Dragon figures, I glued the stand inplace and then covered the whole base using plaster of paris, woodglue, finesand and small railway gravel. Once dry I painted the base with different shades of browns and sands.
