Okay, just for kicks, Imagine the worst news hits the internet and Mattel is pulling the plug on DCUC after wave 9. The good news is you(yes YOU!!) get to decide what the last wave ever will be. You get seven slots, plus two more which will be "variants" of your seven picks. And one CnC for a total of Ten figures. (For this excercise, assume any "sneak preview" figures we know about like PowerGirl, ManBat, Fan Choice winner Question, etc will be part of some "best of" repack case, so you don't have to waste a slot on them.) In your humble opinion, who NEEDS to get made before the ride ends?

Eh, what can I say. One of the first comics I can remember buying as a youngster, with my very own money, was Saga of the Swamp Thing 1, and the Stranger backup story in that issue for some reason left an impression.

If the line is the last and Mattel wants to pump out as many popular heroes and villains as possible, my list would be

Plastic Man with a few hand acessories(even though plastic man has a semi unique costume [a minor modified standard torso with V cut and stitches detailed on, the variant can be Elongated Man; standard body with elongated's head with repainted plastic man accesories)

Supboy Prime (almost every wave has a batman or a superman fig; variant could be the sinestro corps outfit)

Kyle GL

Animmal.man (I think he is popular since he had his own comic run; I also like the look of the character)

 

I suppose the Anti-Monitor should be the C&C

 

The above wave is what I assume would be for the general census and not necessarily who I really want. Personally, a fanpicked wave that is disorganized like the final Sota Street Fighter figs would be horrific. We did get three of the most wanted SF2 figures, but we also have gotten the very obscure R Mika, who has won the A-f.com votes. It isn't suprising that she is a major peg warmer since a lot of the people who voted for her did not bother to purchase the figure and chose her because of her scanity clad outfit despite R. Mika being so obscure in the sf universe.

 

As for a wave catered to me, it would be somethin like this:
