Anyone Collect Exo Squad Toys?

Was just curious if anyone else here collects Exo Squad toys? These toys were released in the 90's and although the figures were nothing spectacular, the Exo suits that they had are really cool. I have just about all of them as I try to track down a couple of pieces from the end of the line. I also am trying to army build Neo soldiers and I also enjoy buying big lots off of Ebay and reconstructing and repainting broken down Exo suits. Is anyone else into this?

Yeah, I love them. I've bought some lots off ebay a few years ago. All the ones I had as a kid are 'played with', but I'd like to have a nice collection of them one day. Same for M.A.S.K. and the Ghostbusters stuff. I've got a good collection going for the other toys from my childhood. BTW, season 1 is out on DVD as of last week. Check out Amazon for it.

Loved 'em, but only managed to get one back in the day. My friend had more, but neither of us really jumping into the line. Kinda sucks, really, 'cause no one has really done any good mech-and-figure lines since. Still got the one I had back then; green one with a gattling gun on one arm and a cannon on the other (though the missile the cannon arm shot off was a radar dish...?) Anyway, they were cool.

Dunno if you knew, but KB Toys rereleased the old mechs in some knock off line a good while back. Might be a cheap way to get the same suits in different colors, and would be cheaper for your customs.

I used to collect them, most of the early series stuff, including a few of the larger E-Frames.

I regret now selling them off.

If they can be found complete ( preferably MIB, with stickers not applied )they are really good toys--and the stickers made the toys look good if applied properly.

I did not like the later Mechwarrior/Robotech tie-in though.

If I got them today, I'd treat them as starting points for tricked-out/painted up models--mostly because the E-frames had so much molded detail.

Yeah the knock offs I think were called Tech Wars and they are always really high priced on Ebay, but I have picked some up at Flea Markets for a good price. The figures are really badly repainted but the Mechs have some cool repaints. Thanks for the heads up though!

I just bought 3 of the TMNT mini-mutant exoskeltons, which are similar to E-frames. I got Mike, Leo, and Shredder. Raph is clearly built using Deleon's e-frame. Mike's looked the most similar to the e-frames in the Exosquad universe. It even has a spot on the back that looks like an Exosquad power cell. I don't know if it's based on an existing e-frame or not. It does not look familiar. I was able to get an exosquad fig in each of them, but it's kinda tough because the mini mutants are smaller than exo-squad.

Playmates also did a MutaForce line with the original TMNT line that is the same concept (Turtles in e-frames). The new TMNT frames are bigger than the closest e-frame I could find (Nara Burns'), but just barely. Mikey's is just a really fun toy. Highly recommend that one.
