DCUC Wave 8

I was cruising Ebay last night and saw Toylandco out of Hong Kong has a loose Red Parademon listed for sell, not a preorder. In the picture, it is still in the plastic surrounding the figure. If all holds true to form, the West Coast should start to see these in about 3 weeks. Now I know Mattel announced these would be released in late April, but I was not expecting them to actually stick to their release dates based on the past. I just saw the second half of Wave 7 for the first time in store yesterday at Walmart in Raleigh, NC and had just finished my Atom Smasher over the weekend. So gear up, Wave 8 is on the way!

The last figures I bought for this miserable line were a Wave 5 Riddler, the ONLY figure of this wave I've EVER seen, and a Wave 6 Hawkman.

 

Around me, until the Targets and TRU's blast out of those peg-warming Cyborgs and Wonder Women, I doubt we'll see anything new. It's the Demon and Orion situation all over again.

DC Direct makes great looking stuff, no doubt about it, but I open all of my figures and like to pose them. I will occasionally throw a DC Direct figure in like Commision Gordon and Alfred from the Hush series, but cost wise and articulation wise, works better for me. Plus I stopped buying a lot of DC Direct, because half of the figures I could not even get out of the package without a major piece breaking off in an odd place that made fixing the figure next to impossible. Not that I could not have fixed it, but I should not have to fix a brand new figure. I have had no such problems with DCUC or DCSH for that matter.

I just finished my sets for Wave 7. For those missing this wave do what I did, order online. I got the 4 entire sets for the same price as what they would cost at retail. At one place shipping for 7 figures was the same as buying 7 at retail...AMAZING!!!!

Well I'll only need a Parademon for the C&C part. I ordered the whole wave VIII from BBTS, but they have yet to fill my wave VII preorder.

Yes, this wave is going to go deep into my pockets because I want at least 5 or each parademons loose. one online store, I forget now, was selling a 2 pack of each parademon for like 30.00 bucks. That could of been a great deal if the price was 23 or 24 bucks but 30.00 is wayyy too much. I will be selling my extra BAF pieces for the extra figures.

 

PS guys. So far for Wave 6 and 7, I have had no problems with bad joints. Kid Flash was tight in one area, a quick boiling and a freezing did the job but all the rest had no problems. I think Matty is coming around, if so...WAY TO GO!!

Yup that's the route I had to take for these guys have mine pre-ordered up to wave 9 just got wave 7 in the mail today. Came in right when I was heading out to work. Can't wait to get home and open the box.

That is why I will wait and grab extra Parademons at retail, so far I have seen every figure on the pegs except Eradicator and Amazo. With the distribution of wave 7 Mattel seems to finally be coming around.

I dont know last wave I found completely was the Metallo Wave. The Despero Wave I found everyone but Batman Beyond and Ares so Despero right now is a poor ampute until I can find these two. Wave 7 I only ever so completly once now all I see are Killer Moths everywhere... gee a figure called Killer Moth clogging up empty pegs kinda poetic in a sense now that I think about it... So yea thats why I've gone the route of pre-ordering online now.

Yes! I totally hope they make more JSA members! Tops on my list are Green Lantern (Alan Scott) and Flash (Jay Garrick). I'd also like to see Power Girl, Dr. Mid-Nite, Sand/Sandman and Hourman & Liberty Belle. Maybe someday.
