Rise or Cobra SGT. Thunderblast File Card Images

Recommended Posts

Man, these file cards really show how much of an art form Hama made the originals. There is little, to no, depth to the characterization.

Granted, there seems to be fewer lines than the originals, but it still comes up short in my opinion.

fully agree. These things give a brief uninformative background on the character. Like snake eyes and storm shadows, all they say is "Fierce ninja that hates the other ninja" LAME.

I assuming since these are all "preview" figures that is the reason they give such brief descriptions.

I have the file card for the Viper Commando from the official first wave of the movie toys, and it is a lot more descriptive and actually give a "sneak-peek" description of their roll in the movie. Kind of cool i guess

I got more characterization out of those old file cards, than even anything the cartoons or comic books could have expanded on much further.

Something tells me those old file cards will have more "character" than the actors in this new movie will be able to give to their respective roles? Somebody wants to cry "this ain't your 80's G.I.Joe/ARAH" they've said a mouthful.

I'm in agreement, the cards are stale and flat, no info, boring. Thunderblast himself is... lame. OKay so they couldn't use Thunder, couldn't they have added a grade?
