Movie Rollbar

Recommended Posts

Yeah....I just wanted to point out that I'm not all that excited about this upcomin' Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen movie.

I will see it but my expectations aren't all that high. <_<

Anyway, check out these pics of Rollbar and his bio: http://tformers.com/transformers-first-loo...10681/news.html

I really dig his robot mode. :D

His vehicle mode looks like a painted-up/customized UPS truck but I kinda dig it, too. :)

Will he actually be in the movie??

What do YOU think??

Well, he's one of the Scouts, which were all repaints last movie. For this movie, they're all-new molds. It's really hard to say right now, I think. I think if we see a Scout character show up again in a bigger class, then it's probably a given that they're in the movie. So far none of them have, but we've also barely seen any movie toys at all.

I'm definitely gonna pick him up though. Basics/Scouts are often my favorite toys out of any TF line, so it's easy to sell me on them.

I have just realized this

So far I have seen these new movie figures in packaged in there robot modes instead of the vehicle modes like its allways been done and the pic art is of the vehicle and not the bot

Good observation.

I wonder why. Maybe they're trying to stress the "robots in disguise" angle? Turn it from "here's a car that turns into a robot" into "here's a robot that turns into a car" sort of thinking... I can see the thinking behind it, as they probably expect more 'new blood' than ever to be hitting the aisles looking for the movie toys.

Then again, all I've seen in the package are Legends, Scouts, and FABs. Legends and FABs are traditionally packaged in robot mode, and doing so with Scouts would be in keeping with the way Animated does it (with Activators).

Hmm. Well, I'm not a MIB/MOC collector, so I guess it doesn't actually matter to me, outside of my interest in toyline marketing. I'm one of those weirdos who would be fascinated to listen to talks on how they decide to do the packaging. :)

Magic 8 Ball is probably right though. They are trying to emphasize the "robot"in Robots in Disguise.

Eh... I still haven't seen anything Deluxe or Voyager in the package. Until then, it's just as likely that they're keeping to the same 'scheme' that they're using in for Legends and Scouts in the current line, and FABs in the previous line.
