Fix yellowed V1 Storm Shadows?

Hmmm he mentions that plastics have UV inhibitors. I'm assuming he means the plastics we have today. I don't think 70's & 80's plastics have those.

good point, probably why they yellow so easily in the first place.

Oxidizers are powerful cleaners.

i wonder if oxy clean in the jar would have the same effect?

ps: i never tried the microwave expiriment! befor i had a kid in the house i totally would have done it as soon as i wrote it here (as long as my wife wasnt home) but having a kid makes you stop and think more i even wear a seat belt in the car now......what the heck has happened to me??????

I have tried 409 before, and it will remove any dirt, oil or smoke residue just fine, but it will not remove yellowing due to age/heat damage. Sorry.

Did you soak it in a sealed jar in the sun for 48 hours though? lol.. I think that's what makes this "work"

I don't think dumping the hydrogen peroxide would have the same effect, as it would probably evaporate too fast to have any effect. Not to mention, that would probably be kind of dangerous...

Couldn't find 30% Hydrogen Peroxide anywhere in stores (health food shops or otherwise) so I decided to go online and pick up a quart. I'm eager to give this a shot, since some of my stuff - including Storm Shadow - could use a dose.
