New Sonic Figures!

This is Superchaos2585 reporting live from the New York Comic-con. I played Both acts of Green Hill Zone, Classic Sonic's Mushroom Hill Zone, and the Big Arm Boss on the 3DS version of Sonic Generations. I really enjoyed it. It plays very well. On the console version I played Sonic's City Escape. Having just played Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, the controls took some getting used to. Turning at low speeds is a pain. But it was really fun.

Anyways, I just pre-ordered Sonic Generations for XBOX 360, but I'm not allowed to play it till Christmas. On the bright side, my grandmother just bought me a flame red 3DS with Starfox 64 3D. Very fun. Aaannnndddd are the Super Packs, Free RIders figures, and Comic Packs at Target? All I see is 20th anniversary stuff.

Man do I LOVE finding great sculpters who take comissions cheaply, found a woman who does sculpts, so I've commissioned her to make 2 characters I've adored from childhood, and they were a barrel of laughs back in the day, they are my favourite badniks and represented most teenagers (smokers, drinkers, etc) guessed who they are yet? Well, heres more clues, they are 2 buffoons who failed everytime in capturing Sonic and Tails, anyone guessed yet?

Well I have a few Christmas presents I need to buy first, plus the Free Rider figures of Wave/Storm/Tails and Knuckles so it could be around christmas time, and it should be cheaper and safer to import than my usual customs I order like my Fang figure since it has to come from the US, and the clay cracks/breaks, and costs like £20 to get it here, whereas the Scratch and Grounder figures will be £3 as they are also from the UK.

I agree, Scratcher and Grounder were awesome characters back in the day. The Sonic shows and the Mario shows were all I used to watch. Be sure to take pics for us when you get em!

Those do look pretty good. Fang looks the best IMO. Grounder and Scratch look a bit more rough. I think I've yet to see a custom that looks like it could be the real deal from Jazwares.

Those aren't bootlegs. They're test shots that the factories do to make sure the molds and everything are fine and the final figure will come out looking like its supposed to.

Hmm...I haven't been keeping up on information about the game: what about this is unique to the 3DS? Do we not get levels like that on the other systems?

 

Anyway, I just wanted to talk about something unrelated: It's funny how today's kids react to different looks for the characters. My nephew comes over on sundays sometimes to hang out 'n stuff ('cause I've got a million toys and he thinks it's cool). He often wants to pull out all the Sonic figures and mess with those, and today was the first time he's seen my classic-style figures. Right off the bat: he thought they were ugly! He thought they were bulbous and fat compared to the new style figures, and I suppose I don't blame him....it's just that the classic ones are so dang nostalgic and I honestly think they look FANTASTIC. Funny how it all works out though, you know? Still, in the end, I think he sort of appreciated the differences in terms of a collection; you know, to have a display of different styles. He just didn't want to play with the classic ones!

That and some of 3DS stages are awesome, like Mushroom Hills and Emerald Coast for instance, I forgot the rest, but they did pick some decent ones for 3DS. =]

Now you know why! =] I actually have both version of Sonic Colors; Wii and DS, both of them are good in their own way.

 

I noticed there's some new gameplay videos for upcoming games like Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Paper Mario 3DS, Animal Crossing 3DS, some had new footage in them made me even more excited to get them in future!!

I'll be getting CE 360 for the release of Generations, and then 3DS for christmas! The 3DS version looks much better than expected plus Emerald Coast and Radical Highway!!!!!
