Koerner's version is awesome. It definitely retains the classic feel of the original design.

 

That said, I'm still not going to write off the official design until I actually see it in action. Generally, I've never been really impressed with any new Enterprise designs until I actually see what they're capable of.

Seriously, I find that design to be awesome. I really do wish THAT is what we were going to see next May. However, the JJ design is cool too, so I'm going to be happy either way.

I LOVE it! THIS is what a revamp is suppose to be. Awesome back stories to the main characters, and ACTION. For God sakes ACTION, what Star Trek has been lacking for decades. I want something that will thrill me come May 8th, not something I've seen before, and not something that will lull me to sleep.

I went to see the new James Bond film Sunday and saw the Star Trek trailer. I had already seen it on You-Tube thanks to WJ's link. It's pretty impresive, but the biggest kick I got was out of the guy sitting about three rows behind me. He was TRYING to contain himself, but everyone could hear him exclaiming "Yes! Yes! Yes! Play it again!" @lol@ I think a lot of people are going to like this movie.

@lol@ Na, judging by his reaction I was afraid he might not have been fully clothed after seeing it, so I didn't turn around to look. @loll@

I DID however what to ask him if he was expecting to see that trailer. I'm sure he knew about the new movie, but I was trying to gauge his level of surprise.
