Anyone have any suggestions on how to do the paint scheme of Python Patrol?

Since there are some great customizers on here, I thought I would ask.

I have a custom idea in mind for a vehicle. It would be a Cobra vehicle turned into the Python Patrol version of that vehicle. However I am not sure how I can do the distinctive cross hatch pattern of the vehicles. I looked around, but no one really has a "how to" on that kind of paint scheme.

Any help would be appreciated.

there's really no way to cheat this one. the best way is to just take a fine point brush and paint the lines on by hand. very time consuming and boring though.

here is an idea that may work....

cover/masking tape up all the parts of the vehicle that you dont want painted. find a peice of mesh (wire, cloth, or plastic). cover the item with the mesh so the mesh is as close as can be to the surface. from 12 inches away, spray paint the vehicle. once you have achieved the look you want, let dry, then remove. i would practice on a piece of cardboard first see how it looks. it wont be as crisp of lines but it will give it a similar and cool looking effect. hope it helps :)

Thanks FUGAYZIE. I had thought about trying masking tape to do the cross hatch, but the mesh sounds like a good idea. I'll try that first to see (on cardboard of course).
