80s Hawk Custom

Hey everyone! I like Hasbro's take on this Hawk better than their version one so I didn't change much here... ^_^ Made him blond like the comics, better helmet, pockets and paint job. I know I took his pistol belt off but even back in 85 I didn't understand why he had two sidearms. Wouldn't a pistol and a rifle be a better idea... HAHA Anyway, thanks for looking!

You'd need the 2 sidearms if you want to stay with the trend (in the 1980s it was the Beretta 9mm) AND if you wanted a handgun to take down a bear (a Colt .45). A rifle would be good... but heavier. That's why generals have soldiers to carry the heavy stuff.

Nice custom. I like the figure better without all of the stuff on the jacket.

Yeah, but not everyone had a 9mm in the eighties and Special Forces guys hated them and fielded the old .45 (now Marines have gone back to the .45 also) and there were lots of times in the comic Hawk used an Uzi, Mac10 or M16. Even today if a Brig. Gen. goes into a hot area in Iraq or Afghanistan they'll have an M4 with them - nearby or slung behind them.
