No Night Force???

I was just thinking that with all the re-paints and re-uses of molds.......that I'm pretty surprised that we haven't seen any Night Force re-paints. I mean we're seeing Python Patrol.....I mean if we're gonna get re-paints at least they could be something cool like Night Force. (I like Python Patrol though.....) But I'm just saying....how has Hasbro missed this opportunity for Re-paints?

Falcon just came out and so far there has not been any former NF guys made other than him. The TF and PP guys were made in regular versions first. Before we can have NF figures we need the regular original versions of those guys.

You've got an excellent point, Adam, but I'm willing to suspend my "Anniversary" standards to recieve new members of the Night Force team. Granted, maybe Hasbro isn't, but I am ; D

I like repaints, but I think Hasbro makes foolish repaints. The last time we saw the Python Patrol, they were decked out in black and burgandy, with gold accents. Now those were awesome repaints. Now, we sort of end up getting Snake Eyes and Stalker in a slightly different shade of black or green. : /

That didn't really matter in JvC or Spytroops......I'm not saying they have to be the original 12 or so from 88' and 89'.....I'm just saying figures in that paint scheme......I mean Duke, Nunchuck, and Crosshair from Spytroops were Night Force.....so was Wild Bill if I'm correct......(can't remember). Beachhead, Flint and Roadblock were in the TRU Night Force pack a while back too.

I talked to Hasbro and they said you can have a Night Force Deep Six and Timber but that is it. @smilepunch@

I was not thinking of those later guys since Hasbro is sticking pretty much to RAH. Beach Head, Roadblock and Flint would be nice but I would only want them colored like the original NF guys and not that funky pattern the later ones got. I would be all for a Night Force 7 pack with guys that were inot in the original 12.

We still haven't seen that upcoming single-card Falcon... maybe he'll be getting a vest and brown pants yet! Unfortunately, he was far from the best repaint on the whole OG Night Force team. Maybe Hasbro could just, you know, skip the original colors for the likes of Sneak-peek and Psyche-out. Even Cobra Troopers from the Cartoon series can't miss a guy in colors that bright! @loll@

Forget Night Force....SKY PATROL ALL THE WAY!!!!!!

Seriously though, NF would be a good idea, especially since we already have TF and PP. The NF schemes weren't too bad over all.

That said, I would love to see all 3 (TF,PP,NF) vehicles reissued sometime. Although all we have, at the moment, are the SHARC and VAMP molds that were in the original line.

Honestly, while night force was one of the better re-paint ideas, I could live without it. I'm up for new characters from that era (Ozone, Courage, Altitude, etc.) but re-paints don't do anything for me. They're a waste of product slot that could be used for more iconic characters.

Also, I rather like the original paint-schemes for Psych-out and Sneak Peak, garish though they are.

I'll be happy to take Night Force figures. In fact, I would love it.

But only the original ones, not those funky ones from the 5-pack or the GvC ones.

I say gimme all the originals of Tigerforce, Python Patrol, and Nightforce... and I would love Skypatrol figures if they ever make any of their counterparts too (Cobra pilots and drivers mostly). BUT NO SLAUGHTER'S MARAUDERS! NO!

Tigerforce:

Flint - check

Duke - coming

Roadblock - can do now

Bazooka - can do now

Tripwire - can do now

Dusty - can do soon

Lifeline - Need v1 first

Frostbite - Need v1 first

Recondo - Need v1 first

Skystriker - never gonna happen

Python Patrol

Officer - Check

Crimson Guard - coming soon

Copperhead - coming soon

Trooper - can do now

Viper -can do now

Televiper- can do now (although they really do need to do a proper v1 first)

Nightforce

Falcon - can do soon

Crazylegs - need v1

Outbakc - need v1

Psych Out - need v1

Sneakpeek - need v1

Tunnelrat - need v1

Yeah, I wanted or had all of these in '88-'89 and I'd still want these now in the Modern Era style. It's kinda of funny that the figures I was most excited about at the time were really either re-paints or new versions of old characters from what felt like Joe's "Golden Age". Like even at 1988, the canon or pantheon of heroes was finally closed and any new characters were somehow lesser, even pretty cool ones like Hit n' Run and the Night-Viper (well, maybe Viper's were exempt since they were all just specialty variations of the grunt Troopers and Vipers of '82/'86). Funny how it seemed to take a few years for Hasbro to catch on, and then by the time of Battle Corps there were relatively few truly 'new' characters added to the roster.

That, my friend, is true dedication! :) Is hard to believe that Hasbro actually put out some figures so bright, such as the Version 2 Roadblock, that the cartoon actually darkened their colors. Here's wishing they actually slipped that guy into the DVD packs... They could pack him with a bendy Mutated Cobra Commander that could wrap around 'Block in a classic "OOONCCCE WASSS A MAAANN" pose!

Well, you've got to figure that the original Night Force was pretty rare compared to Tiger Force and Python Patrol (and even Slaughter's Marauders). They were only available at TRU, so some folks might not remember/recognize them that much.

Then again, if they can do homages to foreign figures, I suppose they could do Night Force...though as someone kindly pointed out - Only one of the original Night Force members has been made so far.

what about nightforce muskrat? I always thought he would work wonderfully for a jungle guide for the rest of the joes.

oh yeah I forgot about him.. I loved that figure..

and Lightfoot, Charbroil, and of course Shockwave!
