Omega force is supposed to be Resolute toys. I think that Duke does look like the one in the preview.

The Cobra trooper is definately a Flint in disguise without Flint's head.

The comic Gung-Ho & Rock N Roll make sense. At least Rock N Roll has short sleaves now.

Scrap Iron is the one from the comic pack with Wild Bill.

Battlefield Cobra Commander is definately CG Fred from the comics. Kind of useless IMO since we could just switch the heads ourselves. Comes with Gung-Ho. Skip

Dusty is the same in the upcoming DVD pack.

Omega/Resolute Storm Shadow?

Deep 6 just puzzles me. Sky Patrol SHARC? OK I see there is an upcoming D6 with RockNRoll comic pack. Geez I hate that Deep 6.

They look terrible. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that they are fakes... but JoeBlow over on hisstank has a pretty good track record.

The only one that I remotely like is Rock N Roll. But I'd have to paint him back to the Original 13 colors.

That Storm Shadow looks like the first JVC SS and Snake Eyes looks like the second JVC SE.

R&R looks good with those arms but his watch is flesh colored.

I wonder if the Battle Armor CC helmet was changed because it would not fit on my Fred head.

These look to me like prototypes and test shots from a variety of waves of singles and other packs.

I agree with what this guy said,

...i'd lay major odds these are NOT the Omega Force/Resolute figures.

they are almost certainly primarily comic pack figures:

Snake Eyes will be from the Night Creeper/Snake Eyes 2 pack

Snake Eyes Vs Night 653569 38313

one of those Cobra Commanders will be from:

Scarlett vs Cobra C 653569 37448

The other from Cobra Commander -vs- Gung Ho

Gung Ho & Cobra Commander

UPC = 0065356937622

then Rock & Roll & Deep (Six)

UPC = 0065356937620

...and that Duke and Storm-Shadow just stink of a comic-Pack pairing.

The last 2 waves that showed up in the Wal-Mart Computers only had 2 sets and all the previous ones have had 3, i'm guessing one got missed.

obviously Para-Viper is from w.10 and Dusty is from the DVD pack.

The Trooper is w.11 Flint without the Flint head.

Ew.

That said, I knew they couldnt be the Resolute figures the second I saw them. An investment like Resolute would probably warrant original figures (as original as most 25th figs get) or at least well done Frankenjoes. These are sort of uninspired... it'd be like the movie figures being repaints of existing figures.

Those are pretty bland and boring. Don't know if it's just the pics, the lighting or they're really just crappy looking?

Only one that is even close to me buying it is Rock N' Roll and that's just cause they did away with those Duke Arm's. I'd still rather him have Bazooka's hands and in his O13 Colors, but they get points for at least trying....which doesn't look like they did on any of these other figures. Oh well...saves me money.

If Hasbro MUST reuse parts, I wish they'd be more creative. For example, why must Stalker, for example, use the same gloved hands that SE V1 used, just because he uses the rest of that body? Just pop some bare hands on him so he doesn't get that leathery look. Same with Rock and Roll here - I applaud the use of the rolled up sleeves (the PROPER military look!), but why does he have to use the gloves that TF Flint used as well? It's too reminiscient of TF Flint for me. Just use the upper part of the arms, and attach a different part for the lower arms so it's not as obvious that they're reused from TF Fline (not to mention, more like the original Rock and Roll).

And yeah, his colours are terrible too.

I agree. I mean they've shown they can do it. Guys like HISS Driver, Tripwire, and Wild Weasel show they can make something good out of what they got, but on most of these figures they seem to just be phoning it in. I wish they would just sit down for a little while longer and go "Let's get out the orginal figure and then see what we have to work with and then see how close we can come." instead of the catch all "Just throw _____'s arms on him....that's close enough." approach they seem to have been taking.

And of course the rubber stamped excuse will always be that in order to get ONE decent, all original, all unique and specially sculpted new figure....we have to endure and even buy TEN quickly thought out and slapped together ones. G.I.Joe is a charity case..from Hasbro to the collectors (apparently..word has it?)...so with a limited budget for such a piss poor seller, we're to be thankful for whatever we get, HOWEVER we get it.

Ah see but they sort of messed up on the HISS driver too. He still has Flash's shoulders which has that padding on it. They can't seem to use just one part. Instead they use the whole arm. Plus Tripwire suffers from this too. Wild Weasel was a good example though. ;)

Part of the reason that they don't like pics of factory test shots to get out is because they usually look terrible. These aren't official pics, there's no way to tell if they do the upcoming product justice.

No, we aren't going to get a bunch of new characters before the movie line-- if we face facts and appreciate what we've gotten so far then there is no reason to be dissappointed. We'll get repaints and slight varriations of what Hasbro considers the "core" characters of the Joe mythos with the occassional obscure guy thrown in for the diehard fans. The movie needs to be a huge multi-media launching pad to re-introduce G.I. Joe to today's kids and non-hopeless-nerds if the franchise is ever going to regain the glory it had in the '80s. If Hasbro never looked forward, then Joe would never have been less than 12 inches and we'd never have known Scarlett or Snake-eyes. #US1#

What are they then? Do you know for a FACT what they are or are not, or are you just speculating like everybody else?

No, we aren't going to get a bunch of new characters before the movie line

Who told you that? is that a definite or are you just speculating like a self-proclaimed know-it-all again? What is your source for such DEFINITE information? Is your neighbor a hasbro employee...Uncle maybe? It makes you feel better to say such things to us geeks...what is it?

@lol@ Did I call that or what? Read my last post....."be thankful for what we got"

Exactly how is Hasbro "looking forward"?

They haven't budged since the 80's? OH WAIT...G.I.JOE EXTREME & SIGMA SIX!!! @hmmm@ Where are they now? Hell, even the 12inchers have there place in the Joe line still today for us old, geeky, diehard, hopelessly nerdy, pain-in-the-asses. Hasbro makes NEWER fangled Joes trying to woo the kiddies, and what normally happens? Hasbro relies heavily on the "geeky nerds who still collect toys" (as you would say) to sell Joes. They've all but lost the battle with attracting the kids, so it's back to basics and a repeat attempt at pounding out everything that ever was before...for the geeks.

Which higher podium are you currently standing on know-it-all? If you want to be positive, be positive, but being positive at the expense of pissing on OTHERS is a bullshit approach as is your recent attitude. I'd suggest losing it real quick.

I'm pretty sure these aren't the Resolute figures. They look more like 25A mockups of the JvC versions of Duke, Snake-Eyes, Cobra Commander, and Storm Shadow.

I'm smelling an exclusive battle pack somewhere that incorporates at least those four together. The rest? Well, the Cobra Trooper is just Flint in Cobra Disguise with the heads swapped out. The Fred/Cobra Commander seems a natural choice for a comic pack. Dunno about the Gung Ho and Rock n' Roll, though. Maybe the comic pack versions, but I don't recall either of them really looking like that in the comics.
