What to do with Droid Factory Luke

I was trying to figure out what to do with my extra Luke that came with battle damaged R2-D2 (since they didn't give me the one with the big stupid grin). The more yellow uniform didn't really match the rest of my rebel pilots clad in orange. I was going to put it on ebay until I found that half the country beat me to it. What's left to do??? CUSTOM!

 

I never had a Jorg Sacul figure. Why? I'm not made of money. I remember right after the convention I saw one at my local comic book store with a $100 price tag on it. Too much for a Lucas dressed as rebel pilot figure.

 

I cast a George Lucas head off my Lucas in Stormtrooper disguise figure. Why did I cast one? Because I couldn't find one at Broken Arrow Toys or Trigate Creations. It wasn't that hard. I stuck his head and shoulders into some silicone and let it set up. A little bit of resin later, I had a cast that I Dremelled out for the neck post and it was ready for paint.

 

 

I originally put this on ebay, but as it turns out it's the first time I was glad that something didn't sell. I rather like having him on my shelf with the rest of the pilots.

 

I only hope that Red Leader's orange better matches the other rebel pilots. I still want to make a custom Red Four and I need a body for Biggs (one that fits in an X-Wing)

I didn't want to spend a lot of time on this so it is a simple mold. The George Lucas Stormtrooper does not have a ball jointed head so I put about an inch of silicone in the bottom of a Dixie cup and jammed ol' George in. The whole thing sets up in about half an hour and I was able to pull the figure out after about 4 hours.

I want to make some custom rebel pilots, but I don't want a bunch of burnt out droids to do it. Here are the ones that I'm wanting to do:
