Why no GTA IV figures?

Why isn't there a company producing GTA IV figures? It would be perfect for NECA or Mezco. I'd buy.

Suggested Wave 1:

Niko Bellic (fresh off the boat outfit)

Roman

Little Jacob

Brucie (shirtless with weights)

Suggested Wave 2:

Niko Bellic (dressed in a Perseus suit, as in the bank job)

Packie McCreary

Dwayne

Playboy X

Only one company has ever produced GTA figures and that was Medicom with there Kubrick versions (lego looking people). But no American company will touch it. Too afraid of "supporting violent video games" and the death of living people and blah blah blah same junk different day. But I would love to see some GTA figures and not just IV but Vice City and San Andreas. Tommy Vercetti and of course CJ would kick ass.

I agree that Hasbro or Mattel wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole, but I think it's not far out of the realm of what companies like NECA or Mezco have produced in the past.

While I think a retro wave of Claude, Tommy, and CJ would be great, I don't seem to have the attachment to those characters that I have to Niko, despite have playing since the very beginning when GTA III was released on the PS2. Ultimately, I think GTA IV has a much more compelling storyline, which makes it perfect for a line of action figures.

Not just GTA4 but all of the games.

It would be nice if Popco took a shot at them. That might be a long shot since they make Harry Potter and that is aimed at kids. It might be a good idea for a company that makes something like that to make a more adult themed toy.

Well I would like to believe that NECA or Mez would try it but I think that GTA is too much of hot button issue right now. With people like Hillary Clinton trying to get people to vote for her and her sudden out of nowhere attack on GTA SA, I don't think that anyone making action figures (a medium that is still deemed for kids in the larger public eye) would want to jump into that hornets nest.

I like Niko and GTA IV is about the best overall game GTA game that has been made and so far my favorite PS3 game I own. I still like SA the best. I think I just dug CJ, he was funny, a bit of a smart-ass, and just a fun character to play. Niko was a lot more serious and while I loved the game I think I dug CJ the most so far.

But to tell the truth if you really want some of the companies to take notice start sending in some emails, NECA or Mez might take notice.
