I still love that Mainframe the best, his colors, the armor onto the clothes, that's just too awesome..

How hard was it to chop the 25th at the waist? Was there anything metal in the way, like the little "tcrotch" piece, or whatever it's called now? I have to steal that idea, only the other way around for a custom(25th top, SW clone waist and bottom)..

keep it up man, they're awesome!!!

Thanks for the comments!

Joe, the mod was very easy. I just used a hacksaw on both figures, sanded then smooth and glued. That particular Trooper has the joint just below the chest.

Psyche-Out, the youngest team member, puts his paranoia skills to the test not only against Cobra, but against the undead too. He's fitted his upper body armor with muscle-activated sensitive chemical weapons: he uses a variety of drugs and psychological gases to exploit the fears and phobias of his enemies. He also stores canisters of acids, for close encounters with zombies.

Psyche-Out also woks on control techniques for Roadblock during combat situations (Roadblock is known to loose his sense of friend and foe during high stress combat situations).

I love going back and seeing these all again. Serpentor is my favorite. I like him best without any helmet. The skulls on his cape are the coolest idea I've ever seen come to life in a custom. I like the rest of the team, too, but find myself more drawn to the bigger guys like RoboJoe. Salvo is also a real nice mix of parts that seem to come together nicely.

I think you really got something going with that story there. Once I got to reading the bits and pieces you've given us, my imagination started filling in the rest. Especially seeing the Rolling Thunder in the background of the V-Max pics. I could see that vehicle and the new DTC Rhino really fitting in well with the post apocolypse world.

Overall, a great idea with even better execution.

These are from the End of Days contest that was held at GTG.

The first was done by my nephew. I couldn't have been more proud when he showed up at my house with this finished custom. It was nice to see that he has enough customizing skills to hang with more seasoned customizers.

Ace By DBP

Bio:

Ace was in a casino when the zombie outbreak began. He quickly put on armor, that he got from a Sci-Fi convention in the same hotel. He armed himself, killed some zombie, and contacted his fellow Joes to find out what was going on. Now the gambler fights against the biggest odds of his life . . . in the End of Days.

Gung Ho JFAK075 (Keenan)

Bio:

Ettienne LaFitte watched as the world around him was decimated. His home town of Fer-de-Lance gone. He stared at the hell on Earth in defiance, and it stared back, aging him in a way he never thought possible for a man that had seen the kind of action special forces brought. He knew of hell, but nothing like this. Cobra would somehow always be there in one form or another. But the undead? What kind of world was this now? What other weapons born in a laboratory existed? And while a good number of his teammates turned to body armor to help in combat, Ettienne LaFitte (code name Gung Ho) decided to hold onto a look he wore long before the world went straight to hell.

Awesome custom of one of my personal favorite RAH guys! Like Dr. Mindbender, all he ever needed was to get a better uniform and look than how he premiered.
