GI Joe Cobra Night Watch Variants

Looks like someone did some part swapping with the Night Watch figures and Python Officer figures and then returned the parts he didn't want.

He sure did...... What a d-bag. It amazes me how often this happens.

The biggest tip-off that this was a rip-off should be the necks not matching the face mask. The PP Officer ha a flesh-colored neck, meaning any head can be swapped onto it... red, black, or gray. So that services the thief who made this monstrosity.

But for the figures left in this box, it means they have gray necks, and red masks... which look aweful, even moreso with the yellow gloves.

The fact that there are clearly parts missing all around... I doubt even a first-timer would not be suspicious.

Well, that explains why I can't find any Python Officers...

want my pp officer? i'll trade figure for figure! :)

that guy must have some sweet looking troopers wearing all black now though

I was trying to figure out what he was going for with the swapped parts.

I'm new to collecting GI Joe stuff and saw this today

Looks like you did more than just "saw" it....looks like you bought it?

Not to pick on the "new guy" but is this legit, was it like this when you bought it, or is this just something you whipped up for your first post here? @hmmm@

I meant to ask. Are the weapons still in the box? I'm talking about the ones on the side of the box in the yellow section.

i was planning on doing the same thing (without returning them).. but money got tight... and there are too many repaints of those guys as is

The biggest tip-off that this is a returned repack should be that several of the weapons are clearly missing from the packaging, ignoring the fact that heads, hands, and web-gear don't match.

Initially I was going to reply to this because I figured your issue was with the store that accepted it back, instead of it being with anyone who would buy it. @loll@ I don't expect everyone to follow the news here as as strictly as some of us do, but common sense dictates that if there is an emtpy, accesory-shaped bubble on a card or inside a box... ehh steer away from that, because it's not an exclusive.

And wacky as Hasbro's paint schemes may be at times, they typically follow some sense of symmetry. If anyone were to buy this set like it is, I suppose it's their own fault.
