Sorry, couldn't stand shrimp Sinestro so I did my own custom of him. May be more buffer than he is in the comics, but at least he's in scale now.

sinestro is small...but i found atleast 40 pics of him being small like that in the comic. oh...why wont you tell us what you used for that background?

l think the background Thanos used for the Sinestro and Lantern pics seem to hail from the old Marvel legends X-men set. I think Thanos mentioned the bg for the other pictures on another thread

Got mine at Wal-mart. I found a Hal and a Sinestro corps version. they also had a Robin but the paint was sloppy, so I'll wait till I find a better one. #US1#

I found the set yesterday at Target with the Corps Sinestro! Here I thought that was going to turn out to be a mythical varinat like RT and black Firestorm.

 

The nicest looking wave of them all, past or future. Now, with my other set (supposedly) coming from Cornerstore comics, I'm debating if I should sell this to my friend and wait for my case in the mail, or open this one up and give the one that's on the way to my friend later. I'm for sure keeping the Corps Sinestro. But what if I tell my friend I'll give him the case that's coming and then I get his hopes up and for some reason my order is canceled and it never comes???? (This is Mattel after all.....)

Hey Pooda, the background dio is from some old WWE dio set called "house of pain", got it off ebay last yr. Go to TRU now, I just saw that they re-released the same dio, but different background & name.

So I'm really digging the Robin in this wave. The first good modern Robin figure we've gotten...I can't believe it took so long. Set him up next to DCD's Teen Titans Robin and you've got a nice past & present set.

Yes, the Robin is my favorite in this wave. I really love the messy hairstyle and the dark red of the body of the suit just is so vibrant and pops up against the yellow of the flowing cape along with the black and yellow elements like the belt.

 

It and Green Lantern, Nightwing and both Sinestros are great. I like the unmasked Deathstroke especially elements of the costume but I'm not a fan of Deathstroke as a character.

 

I do love how this is the next evolution of the 80s Super Powers line. I had to go and dig out my Super Powers that I was fortunate enough to have collected when I was a kid and create a display showcasing both lines and their counterparts.

Which Wal-Mart did you find them at? I keep looking but I haven't seen a single DCU figure at a Wal-Mart.

So I opened mine. A couple of thoughts.

 

"Shrimpy" Sinestro: This is nit picking gone completely berzerk! Is this guy even an EIGTH of an inch shorter than Hal? I don't think so. In real life, if your hero was 6'1" and your villian just happened to be 5'10", would that make him not a threat? Come on!

 

Deathstroke: This is the Deadpool of DC figures. Guns, swords, staffs, straps and belts. Good detail.

 

Nightwing: The hooks on his back for the clubs really make a difference, good job.

 

GL and Robin: SUPER!
