I duno about that but it stands to reason that he would tinker & upgrade him self as time went on :S but then in 4,5,6 hes rather slow & clunky so who knows :S

Ok.. I know this because I am in the 501st and we have 2 vaders in our squad.

 

Vader from EP3 is different than from episode 4.

Episode 5 and 6 Vaders are similar in some aspects but then different.

Belt boxes, pieces on the helmet, etc are all different.

I can try and find the differences if you want.

Yeah, I did not realize it either. When you get into costuming you discover a whole new world of interesting facts about the costumes on the screen.

People do some serious research on them too..
