The Sandman Arrested Last Night In Yonkers!

LoHud.com is reporting that James Fullington, a.k.a. the Sandman, was arrested last night at a north Yonkers restaurant.

 

The report says that Fullington began flinging glasses at the restaurant's employees when they called the police. Upon the police's arrival, he was still going when he turned his attention to the officers and started slinging glasses their way.

 

He was finally subdued and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, second-degree reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.

 

Fullington was taken to taken to the county jail in Valhalla for psychiatric evaluation following the incident.

What shocks me is that it took this long to here this story after he got released from WWE. I was sure we'd be hearing about him arrested around February. Good job Sandman, staying out of jail for... a few months more than I expected.

The New York Post picked up on James Fullington's (a.k.a. The Sandman) arrest from Sunday evening in Yonkers. They report that the reason Sandman and others were at the restaurant was due to it being Captain Lou Albano's 75th birthday party. The Zombie and Pitbull were among those in attendance and also tried to help restrain Fullington once the Swat team and police were called.

 

After Fullington started getting loud and obnoxious, "smacking around the lights (of the restaurant) like they were speed bags", the owner nailed him with a beer bottle in the face. Fullington then chased him into the kitchen and started throwing plates and glasses around until the Swat and police arrived. Authorities went in with guns drawn to try and detain Fullington.

 

The Sandman was bloodied up pretty bad as you can see in the photos HERE.

I guess I was wrong in saying he was probably going through wrestling withdrawals...sounds more like it could have been a wrestling flash-back. Think about it...he gets hit in the head with a beer bottle, and he suddenly thinks he's standing in the crowd, smashing a beer can over his head before the main event in an ECW pay-per-view, so he just does what he always did after having an alcoholic beverage broken over his head. @lol@
