Custom Python Squad

Recommended Posts

After seeing a few other people do this group I thought it would be a good thing for my first ever Joe custom painting. I started real easy with the paint on the kneepads of the Officer then moved on to the full paint on Copperhead and CG. I have the Viper ready to start painting so when I get it done I’ll post it up.

I don’t have the originals to compare to so I just tried to match them to the pics on YoJoe.

Let me know what you think.

I always prefered the Paint scheme that Python Patrol used on the vehicles, which was used later for the TRU box set figures. I would love to see the original figures used for Python Patrol repained in the black with red lines paint scheme. I think it would make them look alot more menacing.

VERY nice job on these customs.

That Copperhead looks really mean with the PP paint scheme on him. :)

That Cooperhead looks good like that, and I don't usually care for the whole PP/TF thing Hasbro did back in the 80's. it's just not a VISUALLY appealing look...to me, but that Cooperhead does look pretty cool and more intimidating that way.

The other two are good matches for how they were originally done, so nice job on that, but I'm still not a fan of the color scheme on'em. That Yellow and dull Gray on the CG is just too bleh for me. :)

So you're gonna do a Trooper, Viper and Tele-Viper?

-Kevin

Yes, I just picked up the TV and have already started the other two.

I want them!

If already sold, where do I send the six figures to? :)

-Kevin

Not sold yet but I'm trying to finish my Mercer before I get to the last 3 PP so it may be another week on the squad.
