FINALLY! I found Wendigo, King Hulk, Savage Grey Hulk, and Samson. I spotted Absorbing Man, but that figure didn't really do it for me so I passed. All the figures are pretty good. I don't like that King Hulks feet are hollow. and he has a bit of a hard time standing. Otherwise its a fun figure.

Toys R Us in Times Square has some of them. I hit it last Thursday (7/3) and found Doc Samson, Absorbing Man and Savage Grey Hulk. Went back today (7/7), and they have the same 3, and Wendigo. Half way there.

Are they charging $14.99 over there too? Or did they jack up the price further (like they usually do)?

I found all of them except She-Hulk, so I, too, know the pain of a headless Foom.

The set I bought was the only sign I've seen of the Hulk Legends, in any store in my area. I think once Target gets them, they'll be much easier to find.

  • 2 weeks later...

I picked up King Hulk, The End Hulk, Skaar, and Doc Samson at Wal-Mart the other day and I ordered Savage She-Hulk off of HTS so now my Foom will be complete!

I only want son of hulk and wendigo from this line and cannot find those 2 anywhere????

If you really want them and can't find them in your area you might want to order them off of Hasbrotoyshop.com. They have them in stock.

Finally got 3 more, Son of Hulk, End Hulk and King Hulk. I love these, just as much as Wendigo and Grey Hulk. If not more. Especially King Hulk and Son. The King is probably my fav Hulk figure ever. And I really like the Sakaar character. 3 left to go now.

Last month, I started seeing the Marvel Legends Hulk Wave show up in MD, and grabbed the figure of Skaar, Son of Hulk! VERY cool figure from a cool book! B)

The only other figures I'm interested in maybe picking up are She-Hulk (obviously the hardest to find, she's even SOLD OUT on Hasbro's online store! ), King Hulk, and maybe Savage Grey Hulk... although, I've already found him once, had him in my hands, couldn't make up my mind if I wanted him or not, and put him back so someone else could get him.

Last night, I hit the Target in my hometown, and got really excited when I saw, laying on the shelf, a Marvel Legends Hulk figure, the side of the package reading "King Hulk"! YES!!! Then I picked it up... and immediately thought "What the FRAK is this felgercarb?!?"

Instead of the King Hulk figure I EXPECTED to see, with all of his gladiator-style armor and clothing on, this Hulk had... plain brown pants. And nothing else. No sandals, no armor on his left arm, no baldric, NO CROWN, no axe or sword... nothing. The head sculpt certainly matches the Planet Hulk/King Hulk LOOK... but this is in no way the King Hulk figure we've been shown! I even looked inside the bubble from all angles to see if maybe there was removable armor packaged inside... nada. The only "accessory" this figure had was the tail piece for the Fin Fang Foom Build-A-Figure! #WTF#

Anyone else seen this craptastic variant? Anyone know what the deal is?

With my luck, I'll find out it's a super rare variant that I should have picked up because it'll be worth a gazillion dollars on eBay. <_<

I can't take any pictures of it because I didn't buy it. I was so disappointed that I didn't pick it up. Now I'm starting to think I should have, as it might be a rare chase variant, after all.

Someone on another forum pointed me to THIS SITE. While reviewing the normal King Hulk figure he received (the one I wanted to buy) he says this:

While there will be variants in this line - the Savage Grey Hulk that I posted will have a green variant (maybe 2!) - I can't see how they could improve this figure.
I'm thinking that this is one of the "Green Hulk" variants... but being sold in King Hulk packaging as a variant of that figure. The pants are smooth, plain, brown pants ending just below the knee. They aren't torn and tattered like the pants on the Savage Grey Hulk. The head sculpt was clearly based on more recent depictions of the character from "Planet Hulk" and its follow-ups... it has a VERY heavy brow jutting out from his forehead.

I looked at the packaging from all angles, and it was definitely factory sealed, so it wasn't a case of someone buying King Hulk, opening the figure, putting in an old, unwanted Hulk figure and returning it to the store. There's something going on here, and I'm thinking it's a variant chase figure. But if anyone else sees this figure at retail and/or turns up any more info, I'd be interested to know what you find out.

I checked ebay today by searching on "king hulk" and there's none listed there yet. So this may be a variant that's just starting to show up in stores. I probably should have picked it up... there's probably someone on eBay that would have paid LOTS of money for it! @lol@

It just sounds like the Planet Hulk figure stuffed in a King Hulk package.
Hmmm....

*searches for image*

Yep, mystery solved. It was this guy...

a893_1.JPG

...minus the helmet, shoulder armor, and shield. So, what we have here is a jack off who bought the King Hulk figure I've been searching everywhere for, opened it carefully, took out the new figure, then stuffed his old Planet Hulk figure MINUS THE ACCESSORIES back into the package, closed it back up carefully enough that I couldn't tell it had been opened, then returned it to the store! AND THE STUPID TARGET EMPLOYEE WAS TOO OBLIVIOUS TO NOTICE THAT THE FIGURE IN THE PACKAGE IN NO WAY MATCHES THE ONE SHOWN ON THE CARD!!!

I've been searching for this figure for WEEKS and can't find one at retail because the eBay scalpers always beat me to 'em, and now some jerkwad does THIS! It's enough to make you wanna dose yourself with gamma radiation and super soldier serum! hulk.gif

Oh well, at least now I know that Hasbro has finally gotten around to putting them up on Hasbro Toy Shop... guess I'll just buy one directly from them and be done with it. Too bad they're sold out of She-Hulk, I might've picked up one of those too if they had her in stock. But I guess Hasbro just doesn't like making money, otherwise, they'd have larger quantities of She-Hulk available on their website! <_<

Anyway, thanks for helping to solve the mystery, guys. Much obliged. :)

I made my first big toy run in ages and came back with End Hulk, Son of Hulk, and Wendigo. I saw the same three figures at a Toys R Us and Target in the same town.

I have seen Doc Samson, Grey Hulk, and Absorbing Man weeks ago, but passed. After buying these figures today, however, I want to get the whole wave.

These figures are awesome!

I found them tonight as well at a Target in Baton Rouge. They had 3. 2 Grey Hulks, 1 Wendigo. Picked one of each up. Really sad they didn't have the others. Was really excited to see that their starting to carry action figures in 2 aisles now, too. Hulk Legends were almost mixed in with the Hulk movie figures. They were in a completely different isle from the Star Wars and DC stuff.
