BPRD Agents from Scratch

I'm not sure if I'm the only person who thought the Hellboy Comic line being canceled was rather upsetting, but I do know there was a lot of potential for the art style and the scale of these figures. I was pretty late to the game on getting into the Comic figures but after buying one I had to own them all and then I started thinking about what other figures I wanted immortalized in plastic. After two weeks of "Intense" research(reading Hellboy comics) I finally found the characters I wanted:

1. BPRD agents - these guys possibly have the worst job in the world, they get killed by monsters.

2. Frogmen - the monsters that make the BPRD agents lives shorter.

After gathering up plenty of reference photos I started sculpting my first of two figures.....so about two days ago and the creative fuel has been burning like a wildfire, at this rate I'll have final copies ready in time for the HBII movie.

Here's something fresh to keep you guys from getting bored.

I mold and casted Screw On Head today, sorry no bodies yet.

I have some good news and bad news:

The Bad News - I was in the process of making a two part mold of the BPRD agents upper torso and while removing the clay from the first half of the mold the castilene I was using decided to break. So no mold, no model and I pretty much have to start from scratch on that piece. Here's a pic of the damage

 

The Good News - I got a wonderful copy of Screw On Head and if any of you are interested in one shoot me a Pm for details.
