Wave 7 Vipers = Lousy?

I had to carefully balance him to get him to stand up without his stand.

Also I put a dab of glue on the helmets and glued the goggles in place.

I wouldn't call the Vipers lousy. I picked one up today, and here's what I'm noting...

 

+ Overall look is great. 5-6 of these guys in a line would be killer.

+ Accessories make sense, and the vest is awesome.

 

- Loose goggles - glued them on.

- Awkward ankles

- Backpack peg isn't long enough

- Wrists/hands - not only weird angle, but pop off too easy.

- Paint apps on arms are messy.

 

I've only found one, and plan to buy maybe 3-4 more. I have a feeling these guys will be everywhere before long, just like the Cobra Trooper.

I'm going to attempt to fix one of mine, I'll use clonetrooper hands, resculpt the padding, glue the swivel wrists/pads in place(hate that soft plastic) then pop the feet off and trim the area on the lower legs that are in the way when you try to move the feet forward and back..

 

As for the other things like goggles and backpack, I'm fine with the goggles, while I think it was dumb, they could have at least given us a removable helmet, then it would have made a little sense, but mine actually stay on fine, so no worries for me, same with the backpack, stays on for me...

 

I might just keep the current rifle and chop off the extra "grip" maybe add my own... I looked at the MI "viper rifle" and I really don't like the look, so maybe I'll stick to this and/give him some BBI rifle.
