Unfortunately I do not have any of those figures in my collection

 

I WAS a tad lucky the other day..my mother, bless her heart LoL went looking at some toys for her nerd action figure lover son and managed to pick up a regular Batman Movie Master figure!

 

sigh....bliss.....pure bliss!!!

 

I am not a huge fan of that cape he comes with...I find it irritating when I'm playing around (yes, that's right I PLAY with my toys ) with him....that and he is, not to be a moaner here but a little bit smaller than i would have hoped.

 

Other than that the figure is just immaculate!

 

 

I reallllllly want the rest of the figures from the series to go along with him.

 

They are STILL not in Canada! The pegs are cluttered with the shitty ones that no one is buying and MM are no where to be found which is really pissing me off. What pisses me off even more is that when you call stores literally...LITERALLY nobody knows what you are talking about...I either get someone who doesnt speak english or someone who comes back on the phone going "Umm yeah..we have them!...I've got one right here....ShadowTech Batman..right? Right? Is that the one? Yeah we've got them!"

 

geezus...I know I should get my arse to the stores but my shifts don't necessarily permit it unless I go on the weekend by which time the toys are usually picked over.

 

I have been waiting years and YEARS for decent Batman movie figures, and when they finally make them they are harder to find than Paris Hilton in a church!

 

I'm guessing/hoping it'll just be sheer luck that enables me to come across them.

saw some shelf tags for the two packs at a local walmart, havent seen any sign of movie masters figures since i first found them about a month ago. i do hope they restock. i held off on getting a regular batman figure thinking they'd be around for a while. boy was i mistaken.

its funny...i was posing(playing with) dcsh bane and i was saying that the legs sucked! so i figured that lcsh marv had NO use as an action figure and he had great legs(i know how that sounds) and so begins the birth of movie master/dcuc 1.5 bane!

Well.... I found out what's been holding the MM's up. Basically, I still hav'nt found me a Joker, and all MM's are sold out at every store around here, you know, Batman, and the Goon. So, I keep calling stores and asking, and some say, "Sorry, we don't have any, and even if we get some in, they will be pulled, because I'm seeing here that that set has been recalled. And you'll find that everywhere, other Wal*Marts, Target, anywhere" so I ask why... And they say "I don't know, it just says that they are recalled. But they're not 'Recalled-Recalled' They are Just being pulled from the shelfs." So I call the other Wal*Mart, and they say "Sorry, we still hav'nt gotten any in" So I ask "Have they been recalled or anything, because I've heard that at another store." and they say, "No the havn't been recalled, not at all. We just hav'nt gotten another shippment yet" As someone mentioned (Sorry, forgot the name) I suspect it is for Lead Based paint testing.....

 

On another note... Someone ELSE (Sorry, once again forgot the name...) Said it was because of a packaging change, and today I stumbled across something here on the inter-webz....

Me to.... I'm still checking stores.... I've seen Batman and a couple Goons at different Wal*Marts, but I have never found a Joker, If they are changing the packaging to the 5" DK's pacaging it's going to make the Original MM's packaged Joker worth a whole lot more, so If you manage to find one in the original 3D packaging, I'd suggest not opening it, at least if you don't have an extra. Mattel is really being weird with these MM's.... First they are hard to find, now they are "recalled" then they are changing the packaging.... what next?

AH HA!!! I think I may have just unearthed Mattel's diabolical dirty lil plan! Gentelmen, I give you exibit A: ebay# 31005892522.

 

Now we've all been hearing about new packageing for the MM right? well it looks like there gonna start selling the multi twin packs. The seller states that the item is a pre-sale & will ship early July. & he's asking $40. So it got my wheels to turning, pre-sales are for the most part close to what the retail price is gonna be because no one realy knows if its gonna be that hot ot not.

 

So I'm guessing that this item is gonna retail for about $25. Mine you, individualy they originaly sold for $10. So I'm thinking Mattel finds out that the got them selves a "cash cow" on their hands when the MM hit the shelves in the 1st wave right, & now they want to take them back & sell them at an inflated price. suddenly $20 (two figs) worth of merch is being repackaged & sold for $25-30!

 

Pretty slick I say. Well on the brighter side of things this is at least proof that sooner or later MM will make a reappearance (even if it is to the tune of a higher price tag), & all of us who didn't get them in the 1st wave will hopefuly have a 2nd crack early next month.

I can't see the eBay auction. I tried the number, and it did'nt work. Is it the Batman Joker 2 pack? I can see them doing something like that. Well, I have to say, I now can understand what everyone was talking about when they were saying that they were really starting to hate the figures because they are impossible to find... I am just about there at this point... I am getting really sick of being jerked around while trying to hunt down one of those elusive creatures. My target now has the pegs out for the MM's (I think) they say "BATMAN DK ultamate figure asst. 9.99" and there were no figures on the pegs, it was NEXT to the Regular figures, and there was a grey dot sticker on the tab at the end of the peg that I suspect means that it is pulled. I am pretty sure it was for MM's, but I am not sure. Like I said I am getting pretty sick of this, And there is no way I can get one from eBay, or anywhere off of the inter-webz for that matter.

Today I picked up the 4" basic black tumbler ($9.99) along with the X-Pandables Joker's Lair & Bat Bunker playsets ($14.99 each)...From the box art it looks like the 4" Joker will be a scaled down 5" Joker. Both playsets come with the same Batman as the Bruce Wayne "Sports Coupe".
