25th Hiss and Vamp Pics

Hi All,

 

I just noticed that YoJoe.com has brand new pics of the 25th aniversary HISS and VAMP. They look prettty cool, however the HISS seems to be lacking color. Check it out.

I like the redux on the VAMP and want a bunch of them, but what todo with the multiple Clutches? Maybe paint different colored beards/hair? I am not a customizer, so that's about all I could trust myself to do. The HISSes, however, bring 'em on! And they just look the way they do because the stickers haven't been fully applied yet. I know that the two blues I have leading a column of blacks is going to look frickin' awesome!

Acutally, you're spot on there. Since I only really like the Hawk that's coming out later, the ones I already got have volunteered for greenshirt duty. Same with Duke. Specifically the ones that came with the TrU exclusive pack. Only got that for Grunt, so looks like those two are going to be demoted! They'll be easy to hide, however. Not so much with, say, 10 Clutches. If I dremmel through his beard, do you think there's skin tone underneath?

Can't tell for sure from the pics, but I think the head is molded in flesh tone plastic.

 

I would put a clutch head on a Hawk / Duke body with a helmet (assuming you have one that will fit his head depending on it's size) for some anonymity. Just to make a Greenshirt look somewhat differnet from others.

 

I have yet to actually try this, but it's better than having a bunch of figures sitting in a box doing nothing.

 

That and because of army building, Cobra greatly outnumbers my Joes!

These are not exclusive to Target.

The three vehicles out now (AWE Striker, Night Spectre, blue HISS) are Target exclusive and have been for a while.

 

The pictured VAMP and black HISS are part of the first wave of the mass retail vehicles due in August

The VAMP will be mine and hopefully they give us a Stinger later on. Is that HISS the same old mold they've been using or is it a retooled version? I probably will pass on it if it is not a new mold.

It certainly doesn't look to be retooled. It's too bad, because if any one old RAH vehicle needed it, it was the HISS. The tracks look bad even by '83 standards!

 

I'll probably still buy a couple to go along with my originals, which would give me a nice troop of 4 minty black tanks.

I totally agree with you. At first I was stoked for the black version, but after seeing some clear pics I think it looks much better in blue.

 

And before anyone says anything....no I am not just agreeing with him cause we're both named kevin!!!

I'll grab a few hisses to go with my Target hisses.

 

The black Hiss driver (the original red dude from the 80's) is being released in wave 7... while the blue Hiss driver (or Rip-It for those of you who choose to call him that) matches the Target hisses...... so thats what I am doing
