BMF Millennium Falcon

The one thing it seems to be missing which is minor, but would have been cool is a little cannon to drop down to shoot Snowtroopers like in ESB.

Too bad it doesn't have the top hatch were Lando grabbed Luke

But hey we got enough

They need to keep something for when they tweak it just enough to make it new and rerelease it.

given that what years ago was a $30 AT-AT last year became a $100 version at TrU.

Just wanted to clarify: The AT AT was only $30 when it hit clearance. the original retail for the vehicle back in 97 was about $75 (I recall thinking how expensive that was for a toy THEN @loll@ ). Between inflation and the more limited run due to being an exclusive, the $100 pricepoint wasn't terribly out of line.

It looks like Hasbro will have another rerelease line this year. I have never seen a vehicle or playset that didn't show figures available in the pictures on the package. Usually if the figure is not available at the time of the vehicles release they just won't show them.

I agree, and given both the VOTC Luke and Leia have been well out of retail for damn near 4 years, I think it is highly likely we'll see them in some form this fall. Hasbro already confirmed a new Saga line for this fall, and with releasing such an iconic vehicle, I'm certain we'll see all the essential figures to fill out the falcon.

Actually, I was talking about the original price, back in the 80's.

From 2008 Hasbro Q&A - Round 7

JI: Even though we've seen tons of images and details on the new BMF Falcon, can we get an official confirmation that this is coming, when will it be released, what the SRP will be, and will it be a store exclusive?

Hasbro: Can we say we held back confirmation because we really couldn't believe it ourselves that it was happening, and didn't want to dash hopes if it somehow fell through? No? OK then, it is time to come clean. As most people have seen by now, pictures did get leaked of what we were hoping would be the biggest secret we ever held onto - the massive, new 3-3/4" Millennium Falcon. We can confirm that it *is* real, and it *is* spectacular! Please trust us when we say that our intentions were truly in the right place - we wanted to surprise fans everywhere with the biggest secret we had ever tried to hold back leading up to the massive 7/26 launch date for Clone Wars/Legacy. We do expect the first availability to be 7/26 at the same time as everything else. We have been working against a reveal plan, including a world debut in Wired Magazine (June issue, on sale in May!), followed by some very key celebrity reviews and additional exposure prior to the public debut at Comic Con. At least that was our intention...with something like this, as big as it is, and as intense the interest is in Star Wars, it proved impossible to hold. Look for additional details to roll out as per the schedule above, and look forward to the full public debut at Comic Con.

The Picture of this thing keep looking better and better. Love the cockpit, Like the new interior.

Nice to see an "escape pod"

But I am bummed out about not have a second gunner's station on the bottom. Even if the did not have an extra chair for luke, It would still be cool to see it on the outside.

The TRU retail price on this thing is going to be $129.99, according to our latest info...

Just so you guys can sort of measure what needs to go into the gas tank and what can be spent on this massive beauty...seeing how gas prices will be, what, around $6.65 a gallon by late July? ;)

From the 5/9 Hasbro Q&A:
It does have a non-firing quad cannon on the underside.
;)

also,

The rear cover is not removable, except for the battery access hatch, as the electronics and other mechanical components are housed in this area.

Wow. Hasbro are really being douches about this.

They took the blog down but i'm curious about your statement. How do you know Hasbro is really being a douch? After reading that blog I saw one side of a story with no real explanation or view point of the other? I don't know the whole story either so I honestly don't know who is right or wrong in this case, but how can you just jump to that conclusion without hearing all sides?

I'm a mod over there as well. Believe me, how Hasbro is handling this is way over the top. Especially since they never asked for the pics to be removed as they have over here in the past. If they'd done that, problem solved. But instead they not only acknowledged it, they showed the thing off in Brazil at a Toy Show. Attempting to blackball a small fan run site like instead of doing more to find the source of the leak is ridiculous. If it'd been one of the bigger like Rebelscum, they probably wouldn't have said a thing. especially with the sheer volume of "rumor lists" that Rebelscum seems to get that turn out to be almost 100% accurate.
