The Official Hasbro Complaint Thread

Heck, this isn’t a half bad thread idea, no matter what side you’re on. I request it even be pinned. There is no denying that many are disappointed in the direction Hasbro has taken the line. Heck, maybe even a majority. There wouldn’t be so many Hasbro-hating threads if approval was high. Plus, everyone should have the right to express their opinion, yay or nay. It will help stop the flood of Hasbro hating topics. Great idea, focus the complaining in a single thread. With how scarcely I’m pleased by Hasbro, I predict I’ll be in here a lot.

The general idea is keen and being pinned is a great idea. May need to change the wording some since it will be on the top of the forums (if pinned) and kiddies do come by. We just need the:

Official Toy Biz vs Hasbro debate thread.

Come share a tale of the trials and tribulations of collecting Marvel Legends. You love 'em. I love 'em. And we can all agree someone hates 'em.

Great idea! However....each thread about how much Hasbro sucks eventually breaks down into a battle of opinion over opinion. While this thread will certainly serve as a place for unhappy customers to loosen their angry collector's bowels, it won't provide the same place that everyone seems to crave. Here's a little diagram:

1 "I don't like this"

2 "We know already"

1 "Yes but, I don't like this because"

2 "We know, shut up"

1 "I have an opinion, you know. Don't tell me to not display it"

2 "Oh-oh, I have opinion too, lad. Do not tell me not to display my own!"

3 "You two fight an even battle, however, why would you, #2, tell #1 to shut up when you do not agree? Simply ignore the post, good sir!"

2 "Why, I cannot ignore that which interests me! For I have an opinion!"

3 "As do I!"

1 "Me as well! Hasbro blows!"

4 "I agree!"

5 "ok i have an opinion to ok i dont like hasbro becuas blah blah blah"

2 "You, #5, have atrocious grammar! Do clean it up!"

From there on out it goes back and forth, with usually two fellows matched up to fight over opinions and who can give them, two matched up to duke it out on grammar, and another two or more who are still on the original topic (to which this post will serve as a magnet).

So! I propose that we make two more threads: one for the discussion of grammar usage on the internet today (with a sub-topic on technology and its effect on writing standards) and another for debate on human characteristics when it comes to opinion and the defense of said opinion.

*ahem* Somebody get to it! I'm too lazy and full of sudden disinterest.

ive been suggesting this since around new years (i think...), but i didnt want to post it because someone would say, "stop acting like a mod" or something similar.

i hope we dont discuss grammar and spelling here, theres two a's in my official. as for the title, i just wanted it to grab someones attention to post here instead of having a million frickin' topics on one subject.

Yeah. It kinda bugs me that the title of the thread isn't capitalized. Probably just me.

Anyway, not a bad idea for a thread. Only I think it's a little too late. Everyone who endlessly complained about it in other threads are probably done for a little while.

Both companies have/had their pros and cons and both have produced some shoddy figures and some good figures. People just fear change, especially fanboys. Even if Hasbro produced perfect action figures you'd still have someone, somewhere complaining about how it's knees bend too far or it's paint apps. Just a general human reaction to change is to reject it or embrace it regardless. I'm not saying people aren't justified in their opinions. I'll admit, I felt ripped off when Hasbro first took over...I mean no comics...bubble/cardboard packages...and White Queen had a Q-tip, man-faced head. If you don't like it, don't buy it, no matter how much of a w##re-collector I am...I mean "you are".

(6 cents says this thread doesn't do it's job and just remains a discussion on people bitching in other threads.)

new rule: you also have to give reasons. and they have to make sense.

Okay, here's my #$#@# of the week. What the #@(% is up with HML4? Can we at least get a "coming soon" on the Hasbro site? I don't want to hear any b/s about timing it right with the movie figures either. I hate movie figures so that doesn't affect me. God I hate Hasbro, 3 waves (4 if you count the FF wave) in almost a year and a half, WHOOPEE!! @firedevil@ @firedevil@ @firedevil@ @firedevil@

You know, I think I'm going to like this thread!! :D

new rule: you also have to give reasons. and they have to make sense.

First of all, I thought you wanted to avoid these kinds of threads...Yet you're still here, reading and posting.

Secondly (and tangentially related to the first point), since you don't want to visit these types of threads, why are you trying to impose rules on those of us who love these threads??

To wit: I despise Hasbro's Legends. I've given reason after reason after reason. However, inevitably, many will disagree. So ultimately, it comes down to taste.

Since there's no accounting for taste, trying to enumerate specific grievances in detail is pointless.

In other words, this entire thread is about griping, and griping does not need justification. It merely needs a sounding board.

Fellow-Hasbro haters unite!!!! You have nothing to lose but mediocre action figures, and lots of $$ to gain!!!

Thank you. That is all.

...What?? You're still here???
