Marvel Legends Unleashed Questions

I have been living under a rock these past few months and have a question... Just visited my local Target and found something called "'Marvel Legends Unleashed" (8" Spiderman and Goblin). Can anyone tell me what Hasbro has in store for this line? Is this going to be another Hasbro dead end (ICONS, Spiderman Origins, etc.) or is this something that will be expanded like the 6" ML line. Is anyone hot for these as their seems to be little interest(?). I also don't understand why they are so expensive (compared to ICONs). Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

MMF

they are basically a scaled up marvel legend that comes with a base, each series has 2 characters that each of their bases can connect to each other to recreate "famous battle"

most people are not into this line

i like it for the spiderman figures, they released a movie edition that had spidey, black spidey, sandman, new goblin, and venom

all of them were pretty good, but new goblin and sandman were the best

now they switched back to comic ones, the first wave was red and blue spidey and marvel knight green goblin

the second wave that is out now is doc ock and symbiote spidey

after that they are doing extremis ironman (no other character was announced for this wave,he may be by himself,or they could surprise people and put like titanium man,so ML collectors could get him and be in scale with ML)

after that they are doing wolverine and sabretooth, thats all that been announced,we havent seen wolv and sabretooth yet though

check marvelous news for a pic of ironman

here are mine

Well, I think every toy line will continue as long as there's support. I guess Icons just wasn't popular enough. THe cost and size are what concerned people. I know a lot of people that collects ML feels that the Icon's are too large and they are already running out of storage with their ML collecttions.

Anyway, the Unleashed series is pretty much what heinousjoe said. They are 8" figures that comes with a base. Many bases are interactive like the base that came with black spidey, sandman and new goblin, there's parts that you can twist and turn a bit to get some different poses. Black spidey's base has a white plastic web line that spidey can hold. The Spidey3 movie figures were pretty cool. I got Sandman, Venom and Black SPidey. I'm planning to get New Goblin as well since the movie figures are on sale in Canada.I think the Unleashed Venom is the closest to the actual movie look of Venom. It got the tongue and jaw right.

What really problems me is that the Unleashed figures lack a bicep joint. They mostly have the Hasbro type articulation and although they are articulated, the joints dont really work as well as they look.

Hasbro showed an Unleashed Iron man last toy fair, and rumor is Sabertooh and wolverine will be next in the series.

WOW! What a great display! I never knew that they did the movie figures... Where they some kind of exclusive? Either way I'm sold! I'm going to head to Target and see what I can find!

Thanks,

Thanks for the heads up on that joint... From the photos it looks like they do. I wonder if future releases will have it.

the movie ones werent exclusive, just hard to find, most stores got initial shipments of just red spidey, then after those flooded everywhere for a month or 2,stores were reluctant to get the others in

i found black spidey and sandman,my girlfriend got me new goblin off hasbro.com

ive yet to get around to getting venom, but i do want him

most likely all youre going to see at target is the goblin, doc ock,or comic spideys
