Okay...you got me. I'm a Hasbro spy. I confess, I've been planted here for quite some time. A mole in the system, if you will. The only future figures that I can disclose of this time are Stiltman, Dr. Bong, Rocket Racer, Squirrel Girl, the Spot, and Unus the Untouchable. You know, the A-listers. Oh, I forgot to mention the Power Pack boxed set.

 

Thank you Hasbro Spy Guy. I am finally getting my Power Pack Gift Set. Also, will Unus come with an exoskeleton effect on him akin to the slime effect that came with X-men Movie Cyclops? cause that would be just rad.

What the hell is the point in posting this? All you're trying to do is make her feel bad and stupid. If you find her threads repetitive, skip them. The board clearly lists who authors the thread. I know she wants a Storm toy, that's evident, and she has repeated that many times, but at least she's passionate about collecting and not a poster who constantly bashes people. I'd rather have 100 xmenstorm1s than one assh0le.

 

Let's keep the talk about the toys and not alienate fellow collectors.

Ain't that the truth. I'd rather read a thread by xmenstorm1s than see someone like So No Tornato come back. xmenstorm1s threads could be about chicken noodle soup (and not about storm) and I'd rather have that than So No Tornato.

I agree Archer, its just a couple of questions guys. No need to flame a person because you dont like the question. So she asks about storm 15 times a day. Last I checked this was a public board about toys. Shes not flaming or trolling, just asking about a fav character. Dont like the question, dont answer. I dont find it very hard to skip a post I find annoying. Some of you guys act like its your own private board and if people dont play by your rules then its okay to be an ass. This board has way to much negativity some times, just chill out and let the girl ask her storm/xmen question every other day, she's not hurting anybody. It is going to be somewhere between march and May at this point, at least, that is what I am hearing. Which makes sense, with the problems with the Beast. But hopefully soon,my complete group of Inhuman customs is almost done

Hey, there's a thought. Just don't read it. It was completely obvious from the title that it was a bunch of redundant questions...

 

No actually, it wasn't at all.

 

I'm well aware that I come across as a jerk on occasion, but I try very hard to remember that I'm a longtime comic fan and toy collector, and such is not always the case for others. With that in mind, when someone starts a thread that only says they have burning questions they want answered, I'm going to click and see if I can contribute. When I find out that such a thread is little more than the Nth thread on the same questions that the poster is well aware no one has the answers to, I'm going to say something about it.

Last I checked this was a public board about toys...Some of you guys act like its your own private board and if people dont play by your rules then its okay to be an ass...

No, some of us act like that works both ways. Everyone's free to make whatever thread (within the rules) that they want... but others are also free to give whatever response (within the rules) that they want.

 

Yes, there are the people who are just being jerks and attacking her, and that's not what I'm trying to defend. However, if people want to attack her words... that's fair game. Just like if you don't agree with me here, you can feel free to quote and blast it out of the water, but calling me names would be rude under any circumstance.

I realize that everyone is at different sides of this thread, but every day she says how much she wants Storm or complains that Hasbro isn't shipping to England it does get annoying after a while. I think people are really on her here because she asked 7 questions that no knows the answer to and should have looked around before posting instead of wasting other people's time. i have done some research and the nemesis wave has got........29/5/08, another says april 2008, another says mid march.

 

also i got a reply from hasbro and beast is not in any wave its been removed completely, also we will see storm in a near future wave, thats all mentioned,....joke, .

 

also spiderman heroes and villains hit stores in uk in april on the 11th.

i know i though i havent said anything in a while, well i will know not to bother in future, i wish i actually met some of you i real life so i could kick some of you in the nuts, some of you guys attck without thinking of what affects it has on other people, but the others who are here to find out about action figures and collecting just get attacked from all angles, no fair, at all, i only wanted to know when i would see, nemesis, sandman, and ironman, but o no, some of you are set to attack mode, calm down, im annoying so what so are you with you quick abusive answers, some of you are just perthetic.

1. Nemisis wave: I heard a new date of April 15th. Happy tax day!!

 

2. 2-packs?: No clue. I bet they sneak up on us.

 

3. 2nd wave of spidey? don't know, but probably pretty quickly, I guess May.

 

4. I've heard of wave 2 in Hong Kong, so probably before the movie.

 

5. Sunfire?: summer

 

6. Storm, sorry there are many other characters that deserve plastic before yet another storm. But my hopes are on a Storm/ Panther wedding two-pack!

 

7. X-Men wave: Next year with wolvie & the x-men, and Wolverine.

Well, to be frank, these (and a lot of other repeated/pressing questions) display a sense of entitlement on the part of the collector. Hasbro is under no obligation to give us any answers to anything, or in fact any product that any of us find to our liking. They give us product only because they want to sell it to us. They give us sneak peeks/previews and answer our questions only because they want to build hype to sell more. We do not 'deserve' anything just because we may or may not buy some (or even all) of the toys they put out.

 

I'm not saying that we should be grateful for every little news leak. I'm saying that trying to demand answers that quite honestly have no bearing is rather silly. None of us are Hasbro board members. We do not 'deserve' to have any inside info. Whether Hasbro puts out the toys we want this week, next month, or not at all is Hasbro's business (literally). They don't have to answer any questions that we give them. Ever. Any answers they may give, they do only because and when they want to. The same applies to product, like it or not.

 

You want to know when the new stuff is out? Go to the store and look for it. It's not there? Then it's not out. That's really all there is to it. Anything above and beyond that knowledge is a nice little bonus, not something that Hasbro (or any other company) has to deliver on.

 

Does that mean that you can't look for answers, ask for dates, or want the latest news and developments? Not at all- in fact, I love that sort of thing too. I'm just against the train of thought that says these things are givens that are owed to the collectors. Collecting is supposed to be a fun hobby, not a series of demands and ultimatums made to the company. When it gets to that point, I think it's time to take a step back and breathe deeply, not continue to bug and threaten them as some do.

 

I apologize if that sounds rude or too blunt. I'm not trying to insult anyone directly, or even accuse anyone in particular, but rather challenge a way of thinking that I feel is out of control. It is my opinion, and you are of course free to disagree.

Oh come on guys! You don't have to be mean to her because of what she posts. She justs posted some questions that's all, we don't know the answers to those questions fine that doesn't mean we can't tell her that without throwing words like hate and insulting comments at her. She has a right to posts questions or topics the same way we have a right to post opinions and responses to those topics without making her feel like crap. A friend of mine went into Target for me and called me on her cell phone. She described the packaging and figures of the reissue Trilogy wave. She described the blue and yellow backer card, and then described New Goblin, unmasked Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe head, which goes for BIG bucks loose on eBay, or at least it did) and then she described a figure with a striped shirt, and said that the name on the package was Sandman. So I am assuming that Sandman is actually out, even though everyone else seems to think he's not. Also, for some reason, I can't find any on ebay. So I'm thinking maybe I passed on pre-official-release item? Kinda sucks.
