Something I'm Not Clear On...

Now, I'm tracking that the GI Joe Convention is in June. Riding on the success 25th line and the news of the movie, this should be a big one. But here we are, nearly two and a half months out... and not a single word of what the convention set will be. I know some folks tend to abstain from the expensive exclusives, but they're still fun to look at and - as is our nature - critique.

 

Transformers has their convention in August, and they've already shown all of their figures... and they're sold out! Is this an odd occurance to any one else? Just wondering if there was anyone else noticing this as well.

It seems like it has been hard to get any information regarding this year's con. I actually have a chance of going this year, but I've got no clue what to do to make it happen. I can't seem to find any info.

 

As for the exclusives, I'm hoping the extra time without showing us anything means they are working hard to bring us a good quality set.

Oh, that's a good point. I hope they don't rush it too much.

 

I'm getting antsy for some info, let alone pics. It'll really help convince me one way or the other...

Also after the problems they had with some of the exclusives from last year I'm sure they're being a little more careful about what they do what, what they have and what they'd like to do.

The Transformers con is at the end of April, not August... that's why those are out of the bag. But, I do think they've taken too long to give us any info.

Hey Kev : )

 

All signs point to "no" unfortunately. While I did request June as my leave month, I would not want to take away the time I have to spend with my family during my deployment to go to a GI Joe Convention. As much as I'd love to, it'd be awfully selfish of me.

 

But we'll see - my family has a way of luring me in with fond memories, then driving me off with harsh reality. ; )
