series 6?... 6!!!! what was even in the other series?... the GL is tempting but how many of the same guy can you buy?..

DCD uses the Superman/Batman title to release figures based on the art from different story arcs in the book.

This is how we got the McG figures and the god awful Turner figures as well.

I love the Batman, one of the best yet!

 

I like the GL and Superman too but there are better versions of the same guys out there that look too similar to these ones. At least the Batman has some unique elememnts. He looks like the latest JL Batman but improved all around, I like the cape over the shoulders and I also like the fact he's holding it. I also like level of detail in the head and cape and how he's a deep navy blue instead of a fruity Adam West blue. This is one I might not even repaint to black.

I hate it when they give Batman one of those stupid capes that hit the floor and curl up like that. Who the eff would go around like that? How does that cape NOT get snapped on stuff? Who could fight in that? It's totally ridiculous! No effing way!

 

And it turns this "action" figure into a statue!!! I swear you won't be able to pose him. I'm an opener. I like to take mine out and play with it.

 

Superman and Green Lantern...why bother? We're getting better kick-a$$ figs of these guys from Mattel! DCD can eat these! Especially for the FIFTEEN DOLLARS they're going to eff us for. I bet the paint aps are going to sux too. They always do. DCD blos!

I like Despero, but im probably going to pass on the Superman and Batman. I'm all over that Green Lantern though. Finally!! an EVS GL. bout time. We should have gotten this back in 05.

100% agreed with these words.

 

Superman and Green Lantern look OK. Perhaps I'll go for them, but... why ANOTHER line focused in Supes and Bats? I mean, I'd love to see new figures of characters like Red Tornado, Dr. Fate, Ted Kord's Blue Beetle, etc. Last year we had the first Animal Man action figure ever, the very first 6,5" Booster Gold and the best Shazam in years. It's too much to ask for more stuff like that?

I think visually they all look really cool but I really wish DC Direct would add some more articulation to them. At least give them some wrist joints.
