Metropolis Sets Up Website To Try To Find Next Superman For Festival

(WKYX) Think you've got what it takes to portray Superman? If so, this may be the perfect job for you.The City of Metropolis is searching for the perfect "Man of Steel" for its upcoming 30th Annual Superman Celebration this June. Karla Ogle, the chairperson of this year's Superman Celebration, says applicants should upload their auditions onto a new website, www.searchforsuperman.com, that goes online Saturday. "You need to have your Superman outfit on and you need to tell us why you think you should be our Superman," she said. "We'll have it all up on our website and the top five fan favorites will be revealed on May 12th." Ogle says the right Superman for Metropolis will also have to have the right personality to meet with Superman fans including children and do media interviews during the festivities June 12th through 15th. To enter, you'll need to put on your spandex and cape and upload your video to search for superman.com by April 26th. (posted 10:23 am)
