DC is getting as bad as Marvel with all the variants. They could just as easily release one of the Firestorms in a later wave. They've put out five Batmans and over a dozen Supermans. Releasing Jason Rusch as his own figure would not kill them. What's next? Hal Jordan figure, with hard to find John Stewart, Kyle Rayner and Guy Gardner variants?

Haven't seen a lick of it yet, but the coolest part of looking for them is that there are figures for me to look through! I'm glad Mattel pulled through with getting thier product out this time. There's actually a point to looking for them!

I thought the Firestorm figures weren't variants, per say, but rather a running change where we will get one at the beginning of this release and another later on.

What he said. Ronnie will be released first and then after some time (couldn't tell you how long, unfortunately) they will switch the cases up and feature Jason. I prefer this way to variants.

Well beyond chases, running changes, and variant, has anyone actually seen these and posted proof? It's very easy to say, "I've found them!" but provide no evidence to back up one's claim. I don't dispute but I'd like to make sure before I spend time and money (how much is gas these days?!) traveling around. Not that I'm going to see them anytime soon since I'm on the right coast but I'd still like confirmation.

Found something interesting on Ebay. It appears the chase figures for wave 2 may actually be shipping (if this listing is accurate). Compare the Aquaman on Ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...52BSI%26otn%3D4

with the one reviewed on Action Figure Times:

Of course the price for the one on Ebay made me throw up a little....

Hmmm. That is interesting. I sure don't want that version though. Classic all the way for me; same for Firestorm. now if they could hurry up and make it to Ohio I would be happy!

I HOPE YOU GUYS KNOW THAT IF YOU WANT FIGS 1st YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT THE MIDWEST STORES. NO LIE! WHEN EVERYONE ELSE WAS MAKIN' A BIG DEAL ABOUT WAVE 1 MY TARGET(43rd & greenfield, milwaukee wi) HAD THE PEGS FULL. JUST TO LET EVERYONE WHO COLLECTS VARIANTS, I DONT THINK THE FIRESTORM(classic) IS THE CHASE FIG, BECAUSE AN ARTICLE I WAS READING SAID THAT MATTEL WAS MAKING THEIR LINE REFLECT OFF OF THE SUPER POWERS/AMIGOS(kenner) LINE JUST, LOOK AT LEX LUTHOR & BRAINIAC.

IM GOING TO TARGET TOMORROW & IF I SEE THEM I WILL DEFINITLY LET YOU GUYS KNOW!
