What was the single best Royal Rumble performance?

Just wondering what Rumble memories really stand out. Having never seen the Rumble where HBK went from #1 all the way to win it until just a few weeks ago, I always assumed this was a big deal. Then, I watched it. It wasn't even 40 minutes, and had about 25 midcard guys in there. While it was still impressive to go from #1 all the way to the end, I would have to say Benoit's accomplishment of the same feat was much more significant.

Anyway, that got me wondering what would you think are the best Royal Rumble moments? The Rumble match itself, not the whole PPV.

i would say ric flairs preformance at the '92 rumble is the best he was in at #3 and went like 62 minutes and it was argueably the most star filled rumble as well

HBK's coast to coast victory has never really impressed me because they cut down the time limit that year i think to every minute or 90 seconds i can't remember which

benoits was great too especially at the end with the big show the only thing it really lacked was star power IMO

but yeah the all around best was 1992

"We hate tosay we told you so....BUT we told you so!" I remember it like it just happened yesterday.....Flairs Rumble victory was classic and he went through them all that Night....Davey Boy eliminated(I don't remember who right off the bat)in less than 2 minutes and it was all Flair!!! Although Hogan was a big B**** that night grabbing Sid giving Flair that oppritunity to oust him out....But still that's why he's the dirtiest player in the game!! Wooooooo!!

I'm not sure what year it was but Kane was a freaking monster. He threw out like 12 guys or more, and should have won but being the Big Red Jobber he had to put Austin over.

A little piece of me died that night. :(

;)

As far as winers go. Flair was great. Benoit was awesome too though. Triple H holds a special place in my rankings though.

I actually got to go to the rumble in 2002 and see Triple H win. Which was cool since I was (and I guess I still am) a big Triple H mark.

I remember standing up screaming at the top of my lungs alternating chants with the Austin fans

"Triple H"

"What"

"Triple H"

"What"

Eventually I think the What's won out since Triple H has way to many syllables to keep that up for long.

That was a great rumble. Hardies reunite. Maven takes out Taker. Kane tosses Big Show like a rag doll. Mr. Perfect and Gold dust came back. Hurricane tried to Hurrislam H and Austin simultaneously. Angle and Triple H face off at the end.

Ahhh memories.

I don't know. They had some pretty big names in that one from beginning to end.

I did like the Flair one, too. Mainly because we all know McMahon is in love with the bigger guys over the more technical wrestlers. And even as a kid at the time, I was usually pretty good at predicting the outcomes of pretty much any WWE show. But, I never imagined Flair would have walked away as the winner that day. I figured he'd have a good showing and get a title match down the line, but not that he would take the whole thing. Especially when he pulled such a low number. That was really nice. No one had lasted that long before him. The closest was a few that made it around 45 minutes. He did that much plus 15 minutes more. Which I know it was in the books for him to last the whole time, but it just goes to show that he had the conditioning to make it look good (and believeable) the whole time.

I still think Benoit's had more big time names in the mix, and was a pretty big feat. It really gave him the credibility he needed at that time to take things to the next level.
