cable marvel girl pack.. advice needed

ok i already own the cable from toybiz ML, is it worth buying the new hasbro Cable/Marvel Girl set? i mean is hasbro cable better? or is toybiz cable enough? I really dont care for marvel girl tho since i dont know where she'd fit with the x-men.. always prefered a jean costume figure

dont listen to that guy,hes def not worth it,especially if you dont want jean either

he just looks off,his costume isnt even comic accurate

hes taller,which is what alot of people complained about the ml6 version,but he isnt anywhere near as bulky as he should be

his head looks off,and his skin is pale

the only good thing about him is the guns,and the ab crunch

the ml6 version ios way better

the toybiz one is better, especially if you have the brown variant. why get the crappy marvel girl in the two pack, when you can get the one in wave 3.

The 2 pack Cable has some good things and bad. The only good being his hands which hold his two pistols rather well. The fact that Cable is missing his right eyebrow just bothers me. My Cable also has a REALLY loose neck joint so he's constantly looking down. I lucked into a 2nd 2-pack for 5 bones at Wal-Mart and that one was really loose in the mid torso so he suffers from MS (probably carrying all that techno-organics all the time. I do prefer the ML6 Cable for overall looks; I just don't like the fact that he can't really hold any weapons. Although... I've found that he can hold the gun from the X-Men stealth Cyclops rather well and the gun from the 1st G.I.Joe Sigma Six Hi-Tech (with some rubber band support) looks pretty good. I also found a spear weapon from a TMNT character that he holds reasonably well that can pass for a psimitar.

definently the toybiz cable. When i finally saw the 2 pack in person, it was without a doubht a pass. both figures looked horrible to me. like its been said before, the only redeeming quality of the 2pack cable was the guns and ability to hold them well.

 

my toybiz cable is able to hold the large blaster rifle that came with Bishop really well since i came about an extra one of them.

honestly,and coming from a guy who hates the torso cut joints,the torso hinge does not redeem this figure,at all

you can get so many great poses with ml6 cable,even without the ab hinge

wait, aside from the avalanche, archangel, iceman, and rogue figures from the x-men classics series. does anybody even care about the rest? like stealth wolverine? or that funny looking juggernaut figure? etc etc? i ran across that line the other day and it was a quick pass. maybe its me. anyways, can someone tell me it'll have value some day. no i am not going to sell it, i just like having figures that i know have value.

I suppose if you're a Wolvie nut the Ninja one is a nice fig - I only bought him as fodder mind but the head is a different look. I suppose a lot of collectors just wanted more comic accurate outfits like X-Treme Rogue, Bobby Drake, Archangel, HoM Wolvie but I suppose Power Ranger Beast sells better than a FA one.

I agree...the Cannonball/Domino set is well worth the price. The Cable one, not so much. I only bought it because it was clearanced, and now I have no idea what to do with the Cable.

i've got 2-pack cable, just because the toybiz cable here is so pricey...

 

i'd prefer the toybiz one, 'cause that's really how cable should look like... he's bulky, and he looks like the cable that we know from the comics...

 

my 2-pack cable has very loose joints, it's very hard to pose him... i found a way to make him stand, but any position other than that, then he'd tumble over...

 

if you have the cash, go for the toybiz cable... don't even think that you get 2 figures for a cheaper price if you would buy the 2-pack instead... the marvel girl in that 2-pack is almost worthless. not really worthless, but almost.

I got both sets and I have to agree with everyone else - the Cannonball and Domino 2 pack is by far the best quality despite others having misgivings on how baggy Sam looks as the GR repaint. I'm in the process of repainting and swapping Marvel Girls head and I gave the Cable to my 10 year old bro as I really didn't like him compared to my TB one.

I hope they come out with a cannonball x-men costume variant. maybe an x-force O.G. box set with shatterstar and sunspot siryn etc etc will be badass as well.

For as popular as Shatterstar was (is?,) it is crazy that he does not have a figure yet. I know this topic comes up quite a bit, but an original X-Force box would be great.
