I can't beguin to tell you how long I've been waiting for something like this! IMO if American censorship won't let incredible stories like DC reach their full potential, then I say to hell with it!

Let the Aisians do what they do best, MAKE PROGRESS!!! Don't get me wrong DC has come a mighty long way from the campy Superfriends. & yes New Frontier was very good in terms of animation, story, & uping the censorship rateing. But American animation still has a mighty long way to go before it can hold its own against animé.

I'll buy this because I'm a big Batman fan, but I don't think the ratings needed to be upped in comic properties. I was rather surprised at both Superman: Doomsday and Justice League: The New Frontier. I bought both of these to watch with my son, but I don't want him to see either yet. I'm still a fan of the 90's Batman and Superman animated series. They were fantastic for all ages. They weren't too campy for me (still aren't) and not over the top violent or language I don't usually expect to see in movies.

As long as animation and story is good I don't need a big body count, adult content, and violence galore. I prefer tasteful to proving a point. And after seeing movies like AvP:R and Rambo this year I don't see any issues with violent stories getting by American Censorship (unless you were exclusively taking on the animation front.)
