Hasbro is GREAT!!!!!

Hey, thought I'd try something different. Anyway the company makes 4 different lines I collect, Star Wars, GIJoe, Transformers and Marvel Legends. No other company can top that so with all their faults they are still the best thing out there. So Peace out!

Nothing wrong with a love-in thread now and then--makes for a break from the alternative....

I've been buying Hasbro product for better part of two decades now, mostly GIJOES and I've seen their product go thru all kinds of cycles. Hasbro stuff has been a part of my life since I was a kid in the 60's, and came back when I started collecting as an adult.

The phrase that's been bandied about recently that, "Hasbro is where good toys go to die" is a complete false statement with me. They've had their morts, but they've had lots of hits too.

I've bought into every permutation of GIJOE over the years, and there's been good stuff in ALL of them---yea, even GIJOE Extreme had some merits. Cannot argue with a lot of the Classic Collection figures they made, and their 40th Ann. were truly excellent product all around.

The 3 3/4" Joes, for the most part, are consistently good to excellent.

Star Wars was part of my collection for some time, I still have and enjoy the 12" Speeder Bike and Dewback sets that came out, and MANY people have eyed them enviously.

Can't arge with something like the juggernaut that is Transformers either, hard to top a toy like the Masterpiece Prime.

Marvel Legends.............just more of the same good stuff.

I'd put Hasbro's Fantastic Four Legends wave against ANY Toybiz wave any day of the week--its still hold up at least equal to the best of the rest of the brand.

The product is out there, and available--its solidly built and well-packaged. Sure its got some differences, I expected those. In the big picture, they are minor differences and I, as a collector, can live with them.

I can trust that I will at least like their products. These days, that's enough to keep me coming back.

you forgot superhero squad. but yes, they are the the baddest! hopefulley they settle some sort of contract with dc so they can have dc superhero squads, and dc legends (yes, i know they have the dc classic universe line out already).

The only way we will see DC Superhero Squad-esque (and esque is as close as we will get...) is if Mattel wants to put out a rival product. Mattel has the exclusive rights to all DC characters. Hasbro lost the DC license to Mattel in abouts of 2002. Anyways, back on point. I have been with Hasbro since the 80s. GI Joe and Transformers made up a huge chunk of my childhood, although Kenner with Star Wars and Super Powers, and Mattel with He-Man did their fair share of molding (warping?) my young mind.

I have mostly given up on collecting Marvel Legends, but has little to nothing to do with Hasbro taking over. With GI Joe back in full stride and Star Wars dropping a heaping ton of new (and mostly super articulated) product every year something had to give. And unfortunately it was the 6 inchers. The little guys can fit more to a shelf and also have nifty vehicles and playsets, but unfortunately more the former than latter.

Hasbro is hardly the place toys go to die. Transformers and GI Joe both have huge movies and are both company licenses. Then with the new Clone Wars theatrical release and subsequent weekly show, the new Spider-Man show, the Iron Man and Hulk movies this year and what other Marvel movies will be pushes out over the next few years. Oh and we can't forget the new Indy line coming out. Hasbro has issues, but they are still just toys. If we could learn to appreciate the good and stop dwelling on the horrible then everyone would be happier.

Remember - this is a hobby and is supposed to bring joy, friendship, and relaxation. Not anger, frustration, enemies, and bankruptcy.

To use Red Stripe's slogan.... Hooorah Hasbro! Hooorah responsible collecting!

well, i dont know why everyone is slating hasbro i think they have done a good job taking over from toybiz, i have read alot of complaining about non moving part and so on but i have bought many of figures from the toybiz line that have been the same, you learn from mistakes and i think hasbro are the female figures are becoming more and more human looking and the figures are becoming more detailed and articulated, i think hasbro are doing goo form marvel legends and they will do better if they make a STORM, well thats bout all i have to say only ship these figures to england, GO HASBRO.

Well I for one can say that I love G.I.Joe, and have been buying them since I was a kid, and I'm eating their 25th anniversary line up like they come packaged with a cheese and bacon dip. I've been an avid Star Wars fan forever as well, and I presume this will be taking a big chunk o' me paychecks this year. And eventhough i'm not hardcore about Transformers, I still pick up a few every once in a while. Marvel Legends is the only thing I'd usually bash, but I gotta admit that they're improving, and could find myself collecting again if they just improved some things like applying some paint to them. No paint detail can still look good for 3 3/4, but six inches calls for that extra touch due to dimensions, especially when its a line based on intricate comic art and not cartoons (as they admittedly can seem from time to time)...still out of all they do, even if Legends is the only one I have gripes about...well that's not too shabby and anyone has to admit that they're the king company right now as far as action figures go.

the thing that gets me is that everyone compains about the first 3 waves (in general) of HML. Emma is ugly, Herc has that goofy #$@# eating grin or Banshee is just all around terrible, the BAF is too small or what ever else they complain about. The thing a lot of people don't get is that is what Toy Biz was set to put out next. Scaled down BAF and all you could see them working towards that with modok and mojo. I'm not here for the entire love fes..SIGMA SIX (so much hate there)! But I do continue to buy ML with hopes of them tossing a wash or drybrush on there. I currently have very few gripes about the HML that I didn't have more important ones with TB (figures with no spines or leg muscles!) there ya go I kinda half vented

I love Hasbro when it comes to GI Joe........I've collected many different lines over the years. But Marvel Legends and GI Joe are the big 2.......MOTU was in the top 3 when it was around but everyone here knows what happened with that line (I'm still salty about it) But like I've said before I haven't really found anything yet to make me start buying Hasbro's Marvel stuff........but the GI Joe stuff is AMAZING right now.......if only they could do the same with their Marvel stuff. My wallet would be hurting :D

All the negativity towards Hasbro is when it comes to their Marvel stuff........nothing else IMO.

You don't see "Hasbro Sucks" threads in the GI Joe forum.

Everyone knows Hasbro makes good toys. With their experience in Star Wars, G I Joes and the like, they are the market leader. They have a proven track record and a shining example of a company that seeks ways to innovate and establish new product lines and improve on product quality. Getting the Marvel license is a great testament to what they can achieve. Of course there will be birthing pains with regards to establishing their foortprint in this line. But I commend their efforts and bold vision on what Marvel Legends should be. Using what ToyBiz has set as precedent, they have chosen the best of the past designs and added their little new innovations with regards to innovative ideas and facial sculpts, harder and sturdier plastics, grighter and clean paint selections, better joints and articulations and the like. The end result ? A product everyone will be proud of for years to come. Let us all praise Hasbro for this and future achievements in the toy industry !! I wish Hasbro the best.

hey i'm not a full supporter of Hasbro. in fact i was insulted with the Banshee (being irish and all). but what most do is focus on the bad figure of the wave which every wave will have when compared to the rest and declare hasbro crappy cause of them
