Hasbro does SUCK!!!

So over the weekend I happen to find an Invisible woman FF wave with Ronan Torso....Finally I can attach all the pieces to one of the reasons I bought this wave and guess what... The Ronan piece is BROKEN!! The hip joint was broken and it came off when I pulled it out of the plastic tray....Yeah,I know she is impossible to find retail but here is why I'm so foul and irate.....

 

So I call Hasbro CS this morning and tell them what has happened CS said we'll send you a shipping label and you can send the defective one back and we'll send a replace out wow that was easy.....WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!! She then adds that I may or may not recieve the exact figure it depends on what's in stock.I know what this means.... I'll get a crappy Johnny Storm so I told them no thanks and that It was easier to get replacement pieces in the 80's.....

 

On a side note I need a Ronan body I have plenty to trade....Anyone??

I bought an extra invisible woman for a custom. You can have the baf piece (ronan torso) for $1 + shipping if you want it. I could probably fit it in a priority mail envelope, which only costs $4.60.

okay first of all sorry bout the figure mate. Ronan (small baf that he is ) is great.

 

second of all i have to agree with the Hasbro person. if they don't have it then they can't send it. nothing you or they can do bout it. you should have just asked for a replacement part. that would have been much easier.

I did ask for a replacement part she said I had to swap the whole thing and I wasn't gauranteed to get her in exchange....That was where the rage came from....

I should have asked Toy Biz for replacements for the pile of broken Marvel Legends I've dealt with over the years. Oh no! I just complained about Toy Biz, forgive me! I'm sorry. Seriously, I hope you get your missing part because Ronan is a cool figure.

look on the bright side at leats you have some bits to hasbro build a figure i have non i cant hardly get hold of any hasbro marvel legends, i thought the new silver surfer was out of scale his legs were to bid and i actually liked the emma frost, why on this earth anyone would want a figure to be hot is beyond me thats just wierd, i got x3 colossus and x3 juggernaught they were good so was x3 beast, ive got x3 jean on the way from ebat, i got lord thor of ebay of someone from america and his left arm at the elbow doesnt move.

No worse than any other toy company. This is one of those pointless posts that fits in no where. Why do they suck? What is YOUR beef with them? C'mon, this is more like post count padding than anything. I do agree that Hasbro has their issues, but so did Toy Biz and so would any other character who has them.

 

I agree that Leatusiv's situation is quite frustrating, but as Tarot said - if they don't have it they don't have it. Leatusiv - have you checked any local Wal-Marts? Quite a few near me have all the FF ML's, except for Silver Surfer and Doom, in their discount aisle for $5.

 

Many newer posters in this forum where not here during the time of the Toy Biz Marvel Legend. It wasn't filled with sunshine and rainbows. It was filled with the same asinine rants and complaints. The complaints are different, but still as numerous and present.

"Sorry we don't have/do this for that item." You send it back and we'll send you something totally different that you don't want."

 

Here's a little story from my youth circa 1987/88 My friend Andy got Fortress maximus for his Bday. Well after he got it the Main head was missing.Hasbro was called or written(can't remember which) and what did Andy get?? 10 that's right 10 Fort Max heads!! I never understood why but that's what I was remebering as I called thinking this would be simple....Fat chance.I'm glad she's just falling off the FF Wal-Mart tree for you because until Saturday I've never seen her at retail.

 

I'm just saying you'd expect better from a Multi Billion Dollar company.

I remember getting the GI Joe Defiant Space Shuttle Complex in or around the late 80's. And it was missing several pieces (as a matter of fact many of my larger Joe items always seemed to be missing something - my Mobile Command Center was missing a few pieces also.) I wrote a letter for the missing items (as I did with the other toys) and some time later received a package. Unfortunately, they weren't the right pieces - they were actually pieces from the Crusader Space Shuttle that debuted a year later. But the Mobile Command Center got the two right parts. Its always hit or miss (or at least has been for me for 20 years), but its a gamble.

 

I agree sending in an item in and not receiving the same one is also frustrating. I remember when I sent off for Starduster (again in the 80s) and then received a Rampage/Heavy Metal - which I had already - instead. Offering an option of what they DO have would seem to be more appropriate, but I'm not sure how feasible that is. But honestly, if they don't have the product in stock they can't send it to you. The best they could do is offer your money back, but it would be quicker to just go back to the retail store you purchased it at.

 

And I wasn't bragging about seeing her as she isn't "falling off the Wal-Mart tree" I was just offering suggestions. They often times stick them in other random aisles no where near the toy section. At one Wal-Mart I found a ton of Torches, Mr. Fantastic, and Things. At a separate Wal-Mart all they had were Mole Man, Namor, and Invisible Woman.

 

Does anyone actually like Hasbro, I know i do. You guys should consider yourselves lucky that you can actually buy these Hasbro's Marvel Legends. I can't buy them anywhere and you lot are complaining about them; I wish i had some to complain about lol. I like Hasbro's Marvel Legends. GO HASBRO, MAKE FA STORM!

 

I collect several of Hasbro's lines. I get Star Wars, GI Joe, but have slacked off from Marvel Legends. I really prefer 1:18 scale figures, and find myself selling off my ML collection (TB and HML) because they take up too much room. I'm fairly certain I will also pick up a few pieces from Hasbro's upcoming Indiana Jones line as well.

i dont like the fact that the places to buy the hasbro marvel legends product is very very very limited in the uk infact i have never seen any over here, and thats a shame well i have collected these figures for some time and my patiance is wearing thin, i dont wish to stop collecting but im running out of places to buy these marvel legends figures, i would of though hasbro would have considered shipping to uk by now, well their loosing money, if they began shipping to uk stores i would purchase their products.

 

i have some of their characters all of the internet but i dont wish to continue internet purchasing.

I have had so many problems with Hasbro as a company as well. I collect many of their lines and calling them directly is useless as they have no control over the warehouse and whats there or when they decide to ship stuff out. You can't win this and ToyBiz was just as bad. Truthfully this is the reason why I would prefer having Marvel figs done exactly like the DC direct figs even though I'm not a DC fan but man they look good. More joints means more problems. Joints period equals problems. Pushing parts onto joints for build figs = problems. Is is great to have joints?!..........sure, but I have more loose/bent/defective/broken joints then I have nice figs. As Marcinko says KISS Keep It Simple Stupid
