New Helmet for Ace....much needed improvement

Going to add a 4-ACES decal to the front of the helmet. Interested to hear if people think this make the figure look better. Found an extra ACE/WW comic pack at TRu today and decide to get out the old DeWalt drill. Drilled a very small hole right below the vest/life preserver and the BBI Mask hose plugs right into the figure.

While well done, I dont really care for that. He now looks like pilot #546 rather than an individual joe. The dome helmet is Ace to me, I like the sci fi aspects of Joe.

I think it might look better without Ace's vest piece. Seems like two different uniform pieces(sealed space suit - open standard pilot helmet).

 

Although, realistically, it is more accurate to a current fighter pilot, I agree that I like the more space-inspired aspect of the early toy.

 

A great job creatively, though.
