Just wanted to let my fellow Canadians know that starting on this Saturday, February, 23, 2008, on YTV, Legion Of Superheroes(LOSH for short) will now be on 10:00a.m., while Smallville(Which YTV is still currently showing the 6th/2006-2007 season for the 1st time) will now only be on late Saturday nights/early Sunday mornings at around 1:00a.m.-2:00a.m. For Smallville on this weekend, I don't know if they will be showing a 6th season episode that they've showen before, or 1 that they haven't shown yet. If it's 1 that is new to YTV, then this weekend's episode will be the 1 that takes place during Lex and Lana's Wedding Day. Here are 2 YTV links for proof and more info, with the 1st to YTV's LOSH website, and the 2nd to YTV's Smallville site:

As well, on this Saturday, February, 23, 2008 from 4:00p.m.-6:00p.m., YTV will be airing the direct to home animated movie Teen Titans: Trouble In Toyko. Just wanted to point it out incase anyone who hasn't seen it before wants to see it. Here's the link to the main YTV Movie site for more info:

Just wanted to state that YTV will be showing 2 DC Comics related animated movies soon to help celebrate the March Break. 1st off, on this Friday, March, 7, 2008, from 8:00p.m.-10:00p.m., to help kick off the March Break, YTV will be doing a speical movie presentation, for they will be airing the 2007 direct to home animated movie Superman: Doomsday. Released in September 2007 on DVD, this Superman animated movie, which is the 1st PG13 rating Superman cartoon ever, is based and inspired by the early 1990's comic book "Death Of Superman" and "Return Of Superman" comic book storylines. However the movie does do some things different due to time constrants and what not, as well as make it unique to this animated movie when compared to the comic book verison. The Superman: Doomsday animated movie features the voices of Alec Baldwin as Superman/Clark Kent, Anne Heche as Lois Lane, and James Marsters (Spike from both Buffy the Vampire Slayer T.V. and Angel, as well as Professor Milton Fines/Brainaic in Smallville) as Lex Luthor.

As well, they will be re-airing the Teen Titans: Trouble In Toyko animated movie on Tuesday, March, 10, 2008 from 10:00a.m.-12:00p.m.

Starting on this Saturday, April, 5, 2008, YTV will be doing a slight change to their Saturday lineup. Legion Of Superheroes on YTV will now be on Saturdays at 11:30a.m. It also appears that according to the YTV schedule page, YTV will be starting to show the 2nd and final season of Legion Of Superheroes as well on this Saturday, however please keep in mind that this could be a mistake on YTV's website part, because on this past Saturday, March, 29, 2008, they re-aired Part 1 of the 1st season finale. This means that there is still a chance that Part 2 could be re-aired on this Saturday, with the 2nd season epsidoes actually starting next week. Here's a link from YTV's schedule website in regards to Legion on a new time, as well mentioning that it's the 1st 2nd season episode:

As well, it appears that this late Saturday night/early Sunday morning episode of Smallville on YTV from 1:00a.m.-2:00a.m. will be the 1st time they will air the 6th season finale. Just wanted to point this out incase anyone is watching 6th season/last year's episodes of Smallville on YTV(Like myself).

Just wanted to let my fellow Canadians know that starting on late Saturday, September, 6, 2008/early Sunday September, 7, 2008, YTV will be airing 2 back to back epsiodes of Smallville(Season 6 at the moment) on late Saturdays/early Sundays at around 1:00a.m.-3:00a.m. They are going to air them back to back in order(Example: 1:00a.m. are odd #'s and 2:00a.m. are even #'s episodes. For this week, 1:00a.m. is Episode 7 while 2:00a.m. is Episode 8, then next week, 1:00a.m. is Episode 9 while 2:00a.m. is Episode 10, etc.). They will continue off where the late Fridays/early Saturdays episodes has left off, with this week's episodes being Episodes 7-8. YTV will also be airing the pervious season of Smallville for the 1st time, Season 7, however I have no idea when they will begin that at this time.

As for Legion Of Superheroes, the show was taken out of the YTV lineup just before the beginning of this past summer. The last episode they aired has something to do with the Kryptonion City Inside The Bottle(Forgot it's name), as Brainaic 5 accessed some files from the orginal Brainaic(I recorded it, saw some small bits, but haven't actually watch it yet). I do know that this wasn't the final episode of the series. The show isn't in the current Fall 2008 lineup, and I should note that at the main YTV Shows site, the show isn't listed. While I'm hoping they bring it back sometime soon so that they can finish airing the 2nd season, it's unknown at this time if YTV plans on bringing this show back, and finish airing the 2nd season or not.

Starting on this coming Friday, October, 3, 2008, YTV will begin to air the 7th season(2007-2008) of Smallville for the 1st time on Fridays from 9:00a.m.-10;00.m. The 7th season episodes will only be on Fridays, while the weekend episodes(2 back to back on late Saturday nights/early Sunday mornings from 1:00a.m.-3:00a.m.) will still be showing 6th season(2006-2007) episodes. However I'm assuming that once the weekends are done with Season 6, the weekend episodes will also show Season 7.

The 7th season perimere of Smallville on YTV will help set up the Superhero theme programming going on this weekend in relation to Superhero Sunday(More on that in just a sec).

As part of the Superhero Sunday event going on YTV this coming Sunday, October, 5, 2008, YTV will be airing some Superhero theme programming for the weekend, which includes some DC Comics related stuff. 1st off, for this Saturday, October, 4, 2008 from 8:00p.m.-10:00p.m., it will be the YTV perimere of the 2nd DC Comics Direct To Home Animated Movie, "Justice League: The New Frontier", which is based on the comic book storyline of the same name.

Next, for this Sunday, October, 5, 2008(Which is the Superhero Sunday event going on from 9:00a.m.-10:00p.m.), YTV will be airing 6 back to back episodes of the 2nd season of Legion Of Superheroes from 12:00p.m.-3:00p.m., and they will be airing the last 6 episodes of the series. While 12:00p.m. is schedule to be a re-airing of the 8th episode of the 2nd season "Message In A Bottle"(Which was the last episode that aired on YTV before they took out the show in the summer), it appears that the 9th-13th episodes of the 2nd season will air for the 1st time on 12:30p.m.-3:00p.m. My guess is that after YTV aires these final 2nd season episodes, they will no longer air the show, since it hasn't been in the normal YTV lineup since around or close to the start of Summer 2008, and because YTV's LOSH site is now gone.

Then, for this Sunday from 3:00p.m.-6:00p.m., it will be the 1978 Superman movie, which features Christopher Reeves as Superman/Clark Kent, Maggret Kidder as Lois Lane, and Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor.

Then, the ZAPX movie of the week on this Sunday from 6:00p.m.-10:00p.m. and this late Sunday night/early Monday morning at around Midnight/12:00a.m.-4:00a.m. will be the YTV Perimere of the 2006 movie, Superman Returns, which features Brandon Routh as Superman/Clark Kent, Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor, Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane, and the guy who play Cyclops in the X-men Movies(Forgot his name, but I think it's James Matherson or something like that) as Lois's boyfriend/Perry White's son.

For more info on the Superhero Programming on this weekend, go to the main YTV Movie link from my 1st posting on this topic, and here's a link below to the YTV ZAPX site in regards to them showing Superman Returns on this Sunday and late Sunday/early Monday:

Was at the YTV Schedule pages today, and saw that they've now done a slight change in regards to Superman Returns for this Sunday, October, 5, 2008 Superhero Sunday event. For this late Sunday night/early Monday morning from around Midnight/12:00a.m.-approximately 4:00a.m.(Or maybe earlier, depending on what airs), orginally, the YTV Schedule page stated that it was going to be Superman Returns, but just recently, it got changed to the 1980 Superman II movie. Superman Returns is still on this Sunday from 6:00p.m. to either 9:30p.m. or 10:00p.m. At this time, I have no idea if it's going to be Superman II or Superman Returns that will air on Midnight/12:00a.m., so we won't know until this Sunday/early Monday. Just wanted to post this update for those who were planning on watching this Sunday.

For those who are watching Smallville on YTV on the late Saturday nights/early Sunday mornings with 2 back to back episodes from 1:00a.m.-3:00a.m., I should note that on this past late Saturday, November, 1, 2008/early Sunday, November, 2, 2008, that the 1:00a.m. episode was the 6th season finale, while the 2:00a.m. epsiode was the 1st episode of the series from the 1st season. This means that the 2 back to back episodes of Smallville on YTV on late Saturdays/early Sundays at around 1:00a.m.-3:00a.m. will now be showing the earlier season episodes, starting with the 1st season. Meanwhile, Fridays at 9:00p.m.-10:00p.m. will still show 7th season(2007-2008) epsiodes for the 1st time.

I wish Smallville was in syndication here in the States on something other than HDNet. I used to catch it every Friday and Saturday night on late-night television before I went to sleep. Now I can't watch reruns at all because I don't have HDNet.

For Canadians who have YTV, I should note that starting on this weekend, Smallville will only be on late Saturday nights/early Sunday mornings with 2 back to back episodes from 1:00a.m.-3:00a.m. These will be episodes from the earlier seasons(Currently still on Season 1). As for YTV airing the rest of Season 7, I'd imagine that they will do so later, sometime closer to Spring or Summer.

Looks like YTV will still be airing Smallville on late Saturdays/early Sundays at around 2:00a.m.-3:00a.m. While the late Fridays/early Saturdays from Midnight/12:00a.m.-1:00a.m. will be 7th season episodes, the late Saturdays/early Sundays will still be older season episodes(Currently somewhere at Season 2).

Just wanted to point out that for the ZAPX movie on Sunday, July, 5, 2009 at 6:00p.m.(And assume it's repeat airing on that late Sunday, July, 5 night/early Monday, July, 6, 2009 morning at around 12:30a.m.), that YTV will be showing 1 of 3 DC Comics related movies, and fans/viewers can decide by voting online. The 3 movies to choose from is the 1978 Superman movie, 2006's Superman Returns, and 1995's Batman Forever. You can vote once a day from now now until Sunday, June, 21, 2009 to vote for which DC Comics movie will be shown during YTV's ZAPX movie block. The event is sponsered by Harvey's apparently. Here are 2 links for more info, with the 1st from the main YTV ZAPX site, and the 2nd to where you can vote:

Not 100% sure, but the fact that 3 Superhero theme movies are the choices for Sunday, July, 5, 2009, leads me to suspect that YTV maybe having a speical Superhero theme weekend event during that weekend. Will sometime near the end of June.

Just wanted to provide an update in reguards to my last post in this topic. The winning DC Comics movie is schedule to be shown on this Sunday, July, 5, 2009, both from 6:00p.m.-9:30p.m., and later around 11:30p.m.-3:00a.m. Although the winning movie won't be revieled until this Sunday, the YTV Schedule website does state Superman Returns for 6:00p.m., and the ZAPX site does seem to imply/hint at a Superman movie. Go to the ZAPX link in the above posting to see the hint.

Superman Returns was a nice movie but underrated.

I do have it on DVD but it would be nice for casual audience and kids to have a chance to watch SR again.

Also related to this thread are some old Filmation shows being re-run on Teletoon Retro ( for that that get it) The -mid/late1960's Superman cartoon : The New Adventures of Superman, and the later produced New Adventures of Batman ( with Bat-mite--ugh!)

Retro also runs: The original Spiderman, the mid-run season(s) of Superfriends, and the late-60's Hanna Barbera Fantastic Four series.

For those watching 7th Season Episodes of Smallville on YTV on late Friday nights/early Saturday mornings at around Midnight/12:00a.m.-1:00a.m., I should note that YTV will for the 1st time air the 7th Season Finale on this late Friday, July, 17, 2009/early Saturday, July, 18, 2009. YTV will start to re-air all the 7th season episodes starting on next week late Friday, July, 24, 2009/early Saturday, July, 25, 2009, starting with the 1st of the 7th Season.

Some Smallville scheduling updates on YTV. 1st off, the 8th Season episodes(Which are currently airing for the 1st time on YTV) is now 1st on late Saturday nights/early Sunday mornings at around 2:00a.m.-3:00a.m., which are then shown again later on Sundays at 9:00p.m.-10:00p.m. Smallville is no longer on Saturdays at 9:00p.m.-10:00p.m.

As well, starting on Monday, November, 23, 2009, YTV will be starting to re-air the 7th season episodes for the 1st time on the late Mondays-Thursdays/early Tuesdays-Fridays at around 1:00a.m.-2:00a.m. timeslot.

Some small changes to Smallville on YTV starting this weekend. 1st off, Smallville is no longer on Sundays at 9:00p.m.-10:00p.m.

2nd off, starting on this late Friday, January, 8, 2010/early Saturday, January, 9, 2010, 8th Season episodes of Smallville will be now also be on late Fridays/early Saturdays at around Midnight/12:00a.m.-1:00a.m. However, I should note that the late Friday/early Saturday episodes will be around 4 episodes behind from the late Saturday/early Sunday epsiodes. For example, on this week, late Friday/early Saturday will be showing/repeating Episode 13, "Power", while this late Saturday/early Sunday will be showing for the 1st time Epsiode 17, "Hex". So late Saturdays/early Sundays is still when the 8th Season episodes air for the 1st time on YTV.
