2008 Toy Fair - Hasbro - G.I.Joe Update

oh man i wanted the DTC hiss as i hate the RAh one its sucks on so many levels. give us the DTC this i command

 

I wouldn't worry to much. If I had to guess, we will see the DTC Hiss again sooner or later.

I thought what we got at toy fair sucked simply because I didn't see a Falcon.Thats how badly I want a Falcon. It has got to the point where Hasbo could release an all new true 1/18 scale 100% accurate flagg and I'd be still pissed if no Falcon was shown. It's just one friggen figure,how hard is it? I mean we get 2 more friggen snake eyes sculpts.Someone at Hasbro must have some fetish over snake eyes.C'mon Hasbro you didn't give us a Falcon in Joe vs Cobra, Valor Vs Venom, comic packs or the DTC.Did you guys lose the rights to his name? just release him as Lt Faclone or MR green Beret or junkie trooper or whateva the hell just release one please.

Joefreak, I know exactly what you mean, thats the figure I was most looking forward to seeing as well. I feel like we've really been teased with the possibility of a new version of him for years now as well. I think we should start some kind of petition, because this is becoming ridiculous. I even spoke with one of the Hasbro reps at the San Diego comic con a few years ago and told them to please make a Falcon figure, they told me they would see what they could do. I honestly got the feeling they don't realize there's such a demand for the figure, and perhaps a petition is the only way to get their attention.

This Movie pack was the one thing i wanted more than anything. I wanted a Nemesis Enforcer, Golobulus, Pythona, Falcon all of the movie characters and the dvd. And it gets canceled. Son of a #$#@#.

Im with you a 100% on that. The movie pack and falcon/N.E comic pack were what i was looking forward to the most.

So if we're getting the original '84 HISS Tank, why did Hasbro go through the trouble to package the DTC HISS...not once, but TWICE? One showed two HISS Drivers and the other one had Rip-It in the gunnery pod. I'm just not understanding why so many things are first being displayed at the biggest toy show of the year...only to have Hasbro suddenly go "Oops! Our bad! This ISN'T what you're getting...but it looks a lot like it, doesn't it?"

 

Sounds to me like Hasbro was rushed to get SOMETHING to Toyfair '08, but didn't have ready half of what it was originally going to show...

Relax, it's already confirmed as coming. You just haven't "seen" it yet. I suspect a picture will surface at the collector's club site soon.

 

Unfortunately because he's in a comic pack, he'll probably be a repaint save for a new head. Which if done well won't be an issue.

I just don't see Toy Fair as being the biggest toy show of the year (yes, ironic eh?) SDCC usually gets a much more extensive list of new product coming and that is to me the definitive show - well except for Joes because we always see more at the Joecon later in the year too. But I agree on it sounding and looking rushed. Probably came from having so much leaked already they needed to get a few more new items out there. I mean they are pumping this stuff out with a quickness. 3 comic waves and 2 single waves out within the first 2 months of the new year. Sure, I haven't seen all of it.. but its out there somewhere.
